Now that I've stopped breaking things..........

Thought maybe someone would post the following, and one of my Brother's on this board did.

And again, Franklin has no weapons and therefore no choice but to turn Rogers loose. AM has a ton of weapons around him, he only needs to run when necessary, not build an offense around his ability TO run.

Ready for this wlayton . . . . Why are we not using the weapons around AM? Does anyone think that AM is going to survive in the pocket, with our protection. Even Richt in his press conference made mention of IC picking up a blitzer last night. Great, what about the rest.

I have seen more quarterbacks hurt in the pocket than I have when scrambling. Can name a few or many. Why can no one understand that AM is playing with one arm tied behind him. Put Bobo's bottom behind this line and let's see how long he stands in the pocket . . . . alive. AM is getting killed back there. The slide rule for the quarterback was put in place for a reason, to keep the quarterback from getting beaten to a pulp. Use that rule with AM, you will see the defenses do a lot more checking off.

Good coaches find ways to protect their quarterbacks, like for example, learning how to recruit. AM lot of flash coming from high school, IC lot of flash coming from high school, players get hurt doing what they know how to do sometimes. IC seems to have that going on now.

Richt needs to turn AM loose before Florida. Anyone thinks Florida's defensive line won't be all over him, hide in the bushes and watch. Our offensive line can not keep their defensive line out of our backfield. FACT.

Buc.....I think we are on the same page just in different degrees.

YES......move AM around....slide etc......run for the 1st down and GET down. But to use him like Rodgers last night??????........I, for one, would not like to see that, AM is too valuable.

That's all I'm referring to.

Think we have been in agreement about AM for a long time wlayton. Last night on one of his runs he did not slide. Talk about screaming at AM, did just that, he probably heard me in Nashville. :)
That is who AM is, said it before, he plays old school football.

I get the feeling sometimes that there are those that think AM is not right for the UGA quarterbacking job. At this point in time, not sure there is a quarterback in the country ready for the UGA job. High risk position on this football team. Not sure whether or not I have seen a single pancake block the entire season.

Another thing, did not appreciate the chop blocking that I witnessed last night. That is enough to make folks like Kwame lose his cool. Looking forward to having Vandy visit us in Athens next season. Always had a soft spot for Vandy through the years, appreciated their efforts to make our "Homecomings" successful. :)

Buc, I remember distinctly when you brought up this new recruit we landed......AM.

I love AM and all he stands for......best fit for UGA especially with the OL problems we have......and he's a tough kid. I love his guts and how much he wants to win. Probably not a QB in college ball that is in the film room as much as AM.

Buc, I kinda equate the situation to Manning of the Colts. Him being out they can't beat anybody.

We are on the same page much more than you think.

Replied by born2bAdawg on topic Re: Now that I've stopped breaking things..........
Buc, knowing you he probably did hear it  Last night was almost last year's game with Auburn. Only it was against our defense and their offense. The only thing that happened this game is CTG stuck HIS neck out for his players. He just stuck it out too far. Richt reacted to the REFs last year when AM was getting throw around like a rag doll. AM is the only QB I want behind our line, everybody that is pleading for HM needs to shut it up.

Plain and simple for 2011...WIN

No comparison between the two.
