I've read several posts that if Richt wins 8,9,10 games, whatever, many people would be satisfied to bring him back as long as he got rid of Bozo. OK, but what if he doesn't (which he won't). Would anyone want to bring Richt (with Bozo) back if we won 9 games, beat UF, and went to a decent bowl game?

Interesting thought that I've heard asked more than once. I have kept off my thoughts until I could think about that a little more. Here is where I am at for the moment:

1. We lost to S.C., which was a game we should have and would have (shoulda' would'a) won if it hadn't been for boneheaded turnovers. That hurt my confidence bad. I wrote off the BSU loss as lack of preparation to a team that excels in preparation. I wrote off the S.C. game to insufficient preseason coaching and LOUSY on field performance by the offense. Richt was VERY lucky I'm not the AD after those two games.

2. We just beat Tennessee. I'm ALL FOR beating Tennessee. Especially in Knoxville. That certainly does leave a sweet taste on the palate. I'm still savoring this one. I'll do so for the next two weeks as long as we don't lay an egg next Saturday.

3. A solid win over Vanderbilt won't hurt anything at all. It need not be a beat down. I really don't have anything against Vandy except that they oppose us. This just needs to be a competent win.

4. Florida. We MUST DEFEAT FLORIDA!! I can't overestimate the importance of this win. It changes my feelings about a LOT of things. If we win this one, the bag comes off. If we win this one, my voice for firing Richt gets a LOT quieter. But . . .

5. Following this with losses to BOTH Auburn AND GT will ruin the effect. A loss to one OR the other is still bad, but it doesn't completely take the shine off the Florida apple. 9-3 with the Florida win still keeps me pretty quiet, combined with the recruiting we had this year. 10-2 makes me overall pretty happy - I'd easily grant one more year.

That said, I'm losing patience with our lack of O-productivity. The defense is starting to bring me around.

Ogredawg, you said: "yeah lets keep an OC who plays not to lose that is the ticket.....y all go back and drink the koolaid."

Who is saying that?????/ Not me.

Are you saying I'm drinking koolaid??

Show me where I am.

We didn't score only 20 b/c of bad play calling.

I'm gonna say this one time and it is in no way a defense of Bobo and his playcalling. WE HAVE NOT SEEN THE FULL POTENTIAL OF THIS OFFENSE!!!! I know Bobo's playcalling and I know it's not going to change. I still fully believe he needs to be let go at the end of the year, regardless of the turnout of the season. That being said, you could have any OC in the country on our sidelines right now and you'd still be seeing a lot of the same. We're young on the line (everything starts w/ the line), we're young in the backfield, and we're young, in spots, across the receiving specialists. This team is maturing, Murray isn't regressing...he's running for his life behind a young, inexperienced line. At this point, yes I'm more than happy with any win and getting it in any fashion. As this team continues to grow (which it is) I'll expect more polish, less mistakes, and ultimately more consistent play/scoring. Just me, but I think it's ridiculous to say this O sucks...this O is young and growing.

I'm all for open, honest debate and analysis, but some folks on here are just being unrealistic. Let's continue to debate and analyze, but damn people, let's also be supportive of our team!

ogredawg we agreed UGA would win by 12, came close.

Always glad to get the win, also think that it is good for those that watch and don't coach or play to dissect the overall game as viewed.

Prior to the Tennessee game, where were the fourth and one calls? What allowed Richt to make the fourth and one full speed ahead calls?

DEFENSE. Don't care if you have coached, played or just watched football, one easy decision to make is on field calls when the defensive side of the ball is playing lights out.

In my opinion there has not been a lack of understanding that the offensive side of the ball have the players to put points on the board. Like you said ogredawg, drink the kool-aid if you like, but from where I sit, the glass is half full. One major change is still in store.

Richt apparently was not satisfied with the play calling late in the game. That is UGA's Head Coach questioning the offensive calls, not those of us that don't really understand the game.

ogredawg, in camp with you totally on the "haters" comment. Total disrespect. Lots of words can be used to express ones feelings, not crazy about that one.
