I've read several posts that if Richt wins 8,9,10 games, whatever, many people would be satisfied to bring him back as long as he got rid of Bozo. OK, but what if he doesn't (which he won't). Would anyone want to bring Richt (with Bozo) back if we won 9 games, beat UF, and went to a decent bowl game?
Interesting thought that I've heard asked more than once. I have kept off my thoughts until I could think about that a little more. Here is where I am at for the moment:
1. We lost to S.C., which was a game we should have and would have (shoulda' would'a) won if it hadn't been for boneheaded turnovers. That hurt my confidence bad. I wrote off the BSU loss as lack of preparation to a team that excels in preparation. I wrote off the S.C. game to insufficient preseason coaching and LOUSY on field performance by the offense. Richt was VERY lucky I'm not the AD after those two games.
2. We just beat Tennessee. I'm ALL FOR beating Tennessee. Especially in Knoxville. That certainly does leave a sweet taste on the palate. I'm still savoring this one. I'll do so for the next two weeks as long as we don't lay an egg next Saturday.
3. A solid win over Vanderbilt won't hurt anything at all. It need not be a beat down. I really don't have anything against Vandy except that they oppose us. This just needs to be a competent win.
4. Florida. We MUST DEFEAT FLORIDA!! I can't overestimate the importance of this win. It changes my feelings about a LOT of things. If we win this one, the bag comes off. If we win this one, my voice for firing Richt gets a LOT quieter. But . . .
5. Following this with losses to BOTH Auburn AND GT will ruin the effect.

A loss to one OR the other is still bad, but it doesn't completely take the shine off the Florida apple. 9-3 with the Florida win still keeps me pretty quiet, combined with the recruiting we had this year. 10-2 makes me overall pretty happy - I'd easily grant one more year.
That said, I'm losing patience with our lack of O-productivity. The defense is starting to bring me around.
