On the quarterbacking . . . . AM is getting beat up pretty badly. There comes a time when you pick out a receiver and only one receiver. Might cost an interception, and has, but with our offensive line play, AM does not always have a choice. Would love to see a coordinator introduce our offense to the Hank Stram floating pocket. That is the type quarterback AM is and could improve our offense loads.
Read a couple of posts today about playing good first halfs, slumping in the second half. This is my question to that . . . Why can our offensive line that is so poorly rated do so well in the first half. All players on both sides of the ball are fresh. Second half, it looks like their players are ready to go and we can't get our cleats out of the turf. Is this changing the game plan at the half or is it their players are better conditioned than ours. I check the names on the jerseys and they remain pretty much the same for both the first and second half, on both sides of the ball.
sadlerdawg, I understand what you are saying and from this corner you are right. Why else would Richt say the defense under Grantham played great and the offense has to figure out what is wrong in the second half. I did not make that up, go to the UGA site and play the post game presser from Richt if you have not seen it. Think many of us know what the problem(s) are.
Beating Tennessee only comes in second to beating Florida in this household. Don't like urange. Hoping to see our defense continue on the same path that they are on. Seems as if the D plays the entire game, appears that Grantham, Lakatos and others understand what it will take for UGA to win football games. Maybe next year the other side will contribute in the second half.
Go Dawgs, not crazy about Dooley and company winning.
averagedawg, this UGA team could win and should win by 7.

Buc wrote: We put a pretty good whipping on Tennessee last season. Looking at all positions, felt we were better across the board. One season has passed, and supposedly UGA has improved its play from game to game. (Hope so 6-7 did not taste good) I agree that the defense has done that. Still not sure what I see happening on the offensive side of the ball. A huge back converted from tight end that never runs the ball. Makes me wonder.

Size Buc...we do have the largest O-line in all of football. That will give you an edge...at least for a while. We're able to push people around in the first half because we're bigger than them. Eventually, just from the physical demands of carrying all that weight, our legs start to tire out and the size advantage is "outweighed" (pun intended) by the fact that now we're not much more than 5 tired fat guys
