They obviously "prefer" him to stay in the pocket so he can work the whole field but he's going to get killed if he does. So.......if he rolls out and his options are cut in half then he can also run, right?.......geez, he can get killed that way too. Best solution??? Recruit depth at OL !!!!!

wlayton, watched us run the football in the first half. Still seems when something is working, someone, not going to call names, flip flops and does something entirely different. What is that old saying . . . . "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Just a guess on my part of course . . . think that IC is beginning to get a bit peeved at the way these games are being called. All we need at this point is for Isaiah to stick his lips out. Crowell caries the ball 30 times against Tennessee, we win by 14. That frees AM up to "select" which receiver he wants to throw the ball to, and I think we have a freshman receiver that is and will be "lights out".

Buc, I'm not sure but maybe Richt's problem sometimes is that he over thinks.
I'm with you. Run IC 30 carries a game.

With ya Buc....run him. Would they consider a freakin' "pitch" to the outside??

Amen on the pitch to the outside. This young man could wiggle his 215 pound frame out of a one quart bottle. That of course would be a one quart olive oil bottle. :)

My thoughts about this game, pressure is going to be key. Only saw bray against uf. If he has time to throw, he will pick you apart. Doesn't like pressure, and eventually will get rid of the ball at all cost to avoid contact. Against uf, he should have thrown 5 int's, uf dropped the balls and eventually he burnt them. Little concerning because our defense has been very good, but against teams like ut, you have to make the bad throws hurt. Cannot drop picks right in your chest. Has happened too many times. ut has struggled running the football. Make them one dimensional, and get after the qb.

Offense - Like all games, run the football. Ut has young, talented lb's. Pretty good down hill players, but they struggle in pass coverage. Establish the running game, get them coming down hill, and passing game should be open across the middle. Balance in the 1st half against MSU was good. Went back and watched the 2nd half again. Looking back on it, I think we tried to hard to establish the running game early in the 2nd. Go back and look at the helmets in the box. 8, sometimes 9 when the safety was over OC, hard to run the football against those numbers.

I am puzzled to why TK has not seen more deep balls. He has been a great deep ball WR in year's past.
