I will admit I am hating on Rambo. I thought his coverage was poor at best last season and don't get me started on his tackling. Plus it is pretty apparent he did something wrong because he isn't injured. Suspended from the game seems like he did something pretty bone-headed.
Maybe I am asking too much but I expect a major improvement from the defense this year. If that means Rambo is out then so be it.
Getdown11, appeared to me that Rambo was getting too much credit. Shoulder tackles (or shoves) don't have a lasting memory or effect on those receivers coming across the middle. From what I witnessed last season, he was usually in the pile after the play.
Sometimes Seniors can develop an attitude, simply because they are Seniors. The feel that I am getting from this group of coaches on the D side goes to what Grantham said from day one. I will play the best players, regardless of class. He wants his best eleven on the field. Hard to disagree with that, especially coming from a hard ass like Grantham.
It was time for UGA football to return to playing defense, the way it has been played in the SEC forever. VanGorder left and the Red and Black D has not been the same, from where I sit.
With offensive support, this could be a very good team . . . . quickly.
