New Nike Uniforms Revealed Tomorrow

You are right Buc, but that should be expected. Young'uns always like new and flashy stuff, not the old and tried and true. In fact I'll bet a lot of these kids are like Will MusChump - truly Florida fans, but they wanted to get away from home, and Athens (or Boise, in the case of seevee's team) was about the right distance. (Evidenced by some remarks Walsh recently made about the Miami issue and how he is pulling for them because they are his favorite team in Florida). Plus, they would get to start/play/move up to the NFL.

Down to the last, everyone on this board is a TRUE DAWG fan (except seevee, but he's just TRUE BLUE to his team - funny how he sounds a lot like us, just for the wrong team). Let the kids have their fun - we'll all be screaming at the top of our lungs starting Sept. 3rd for the DAWGS - don't worry Buc. (Except seevee . . . he'll be cheering for the wrong team!)

this apparently isn't up to richt which is a symptom of our program's descent these past few years..Richt should have vehemently opposed this change than even gone public with a "don't blame me, I was against this to start with" campaign..instead he continues to give us fans his advice like we're a bunch of dumb rednecks...

Meh, who cares? Really, it's a one time deal and then we're back to the proper uniforms. If this is our greatest worry on Sept. 3rd, it's a good thing. The damned uniform is not as important as the kid inside it. I do note that Boise is another blue and orange team. Sort of describes their credibility in my eyes, because regardless of how you arrange blue and orange, it's just damned ugly. Red and black looks good anyway you slice it.

...and, since the players seem to like them then it will not be a distraction. If anything, it'll fire them up because they'll think they look good.

On a related note, it struck me as telling that a company like Nike should not develop new uniforms without considering tradition. That ugly-assed uniform would have been a whole other animal with the simple addition of silver britches. Just my two cents.

You're right Limeydawg, silver britches would have really pulled this uniform up, in my opinion. I just hate uniforms that are all one color, like when Atlanta wears the all black uniforms. I believe an all silver helmet, red jersey, and silver britches would have been nice.

I would love to see UGA play a game in a throwback uniform. Silver helmet with a black block G (to set us apart from OSU) red jersey and silver britches would look nice in my opinion.
