Finally, some GOOD news for our program.
if this game comes down to coaching we will lose.
if it comes down to talent, we will win by two toucdowns.
My question: I think we need to make this game scenario about talent, bot letting it come down to coaching.
What do you all think?
Totally agree. Hope our coaches can at least put our players in position to where we CAN take advantage of our better athlete's.....that will require SOME coaching.
Bump wlayton.
Beginning to see more out of Richt in his press conferences. Not the same tightness that I thought I saw at the end of last season. Good reason I suppose. Now he appears to be wearing the same hat he wore after first arriving in Athens. Seems to be loose and that little grin of his makes me think that he is the Cat that swallowed the Canary. Not saying a lot, but he has seen something since this group of Dawgs showed up at One Dawg Place. Not talking about the "Dream Team" solely, the entire group, less a couple folks that did not want to work for their keep.
I had worried a bit about Richt being too stubborn to move from his previous stance on offense, meaning involvement in game day play selection. That might not be the case this season. Again, don't think that I have seen him this comfortable since first arriving in Athens. Maybe this hot seat talk has opened his eyes (again) to how things should be done.
With the talent that is residing on the D side of the ball, with a coach that seems to know just exactly where he wants to take that Pack of Dawgs, life might and probably is much simpler for Richt. Personally think he found the key to UGA's largest problem and fixed it in the hiring of Grantham and company. Like it has been said, show me, and I agree with that statement made by many. Grantham reminds me so much of two coaches in particular that we have had running the D in Athens, and frankly, think that Grantham has more to work with than both of those coaches had at any one time. Just my opinion.
If I was the coach of Boise State or South Carolina, looking over the UGA talent on offense, it would have my butt pinching the seat for sure. Talented running backs, receivers (when I mention receivers mean tight ends also) and an experienced quarterback.
For me, it still goes back to the O line. Friend can make a real name for himself and something tells me he will. You see, I think that Friend is a part of the "Dream Team". Sometimes those climbing the ladder tend to work harder and produce more than those that have reached the top and sometimes slip a bit.
Won't be long now folks . . . Coach'em Up!!

So, it has to go back to coaching.
Hopefully Coach Richt has that energy back.
As for Boise and the media, we lose, Boise is a great team.
We wallop them, Boise really isn't that great and we get less credit. Just a thought.

Looking at our regular season schedule, talent wise, I see no team with more talent.
So, it has to go back to coaching.

Your thought is exactly right, averagedawg.

In spite of all I have heard in the media, I truly think we'll win this game.

Agreed thriller, after all, look how long it took for them to come back after 2005Very true. Boise State is a no-win game. Just like Hawaii was. If we win, it's because Boise State was always way overrated and people will talk about what a cup-cake schedule we had. If we lose, Boise State is the greatest team to have ever played the game and UGA goes down the tubes. However, Boise State has more on the line. If they lose, it would take (in my VERY humble opinion) MANY MANY years to recover their reputation.
In spite of all I have heard in the media, I truly think we'll win this game.

Plain and simple for 2011...WIN
