no doubt that some of the young pups are going to have to step up sometime during the season Buc.....and I have no reason to doubt what you say about DeBell........Friends rep. speaks for itself and his ability to get em ready is not the issue......the learning curve takes time as does getting used to SEC type Football......hopefully we will be alright......

a little off topic having to deal with the Defense...Chris Low posted just a few minutes ago on his blog about the Dawg D.....good read.....

looks like the strategy will be in keeping our O line healthy.....so far nothing but bad luck in that department....

Georgia apparently has lost another offensive lineman, at least for a while.

DawgPost.com, the Scout/Fox Sports website that covers the Bulldogs, cited sources in reporting that sophomore tackle Austin Long will miss at least the first two weeks of preseason camp after being diagnosed with mononucleosis. Two persons familiar the situation have confirmed that report to the AJC, but I haven’t gotten any official confirmation from UGA yet. Spokesperson Claude Felton said he was unaware of Long being sidelined

He’s been hurt the whole time he’s been there. I’m not counting on him.

Don't think it is off topic, playing team ball here Brother.

Unless I miss my guess, the presence of Geathers, Jenkins, Jones, Tyson . . . . the interceptions and fumbles are coming.

Ogletree, Jones, Washington and Robinson. Smart and nasty this season.

Grantham has a stable of athletes, only thing that will stop this team is themselves. Most of these men have played the game since they were real young. Only difference between now and when they started, they are now "truly on stage". Did not have butterflies before, never puked, Hang On Suzie, Suzie Hang On . . . . :woohoo:

Buc, Assuming there is a learning curve, granted.
Still, how many minutes of quality playing time have been squandered by Richt's stubbornness of not playing freshmen.
I hope like hell DeBell plays.

There are different reports on Zach. The one that I like hearing is that he is appreciated in the place that JTII rules. Zach is a throwback to the yes sir, yes ma'am days. How the hell could I not be in his corner.

Brother, with you all the way on the squandered time on folks that we are aware of. Zach has gained weight/muscle, from someone that I know on the West Side of Florida, says Zach is up to 280/285. Have read reports of larger amounts of weight gain. Those reports however remind me of not just yesteryear, same way today. Players are taller and heavier than the truth side of the coin.

Zach can carry probably up to 310/315 and run like a roadrunner. Has one of those bodies that burns calories. See him at tackle, left of right, makes no difference, he plays both. He will play on Sundays . . . hope as you say, Richt drops stubborn and does a real look see. Friend has a jewel in Zach. All will see.
