We’ve all criticized CMB plenty about the offensive play calling, and for good reason. The personnel have been there. The performance and play calling have not. I think we are almost unanimous on that point.

But that got me to wondering . . . What would I do differently? I’m bored without football, so I’m going to have some fun.

First series of the game against Boise State. Let’s assume they got the ball first and drove for a FG and lead 3-0.

Not much confidence in the defense...

Can't kick FG's in that game, if you do, you LOSE.

Actually I'm pretty confident in the D, but opening drives sometimes move well when you are just learning what the offense is doing. I'm thinking it takes about 50 or 60 yards to catch on and hold'em. And I agree with wlayton, FGs aren't going to win anything.

looks like the strategy will be in keeping our O line healthy.....so far nothing but bad luck in that department....

Georgia apparently has lost another offensive lineman, at least for a while.

DawgPost.com, the Scout/Fox Sports website that covers the Bulldogs, cited sources in reporting that sophomore tackle Austin Long will miss at least the first two weeks of preseason camp after being diagnosed with mononucleosis. Two persons familiar the situation have confirmed that report to the AJC, but I haven’t gotten any official confirmation from UGA yet. Spokesperson Claude Felton said he was unaware of Long being sidelined

ogredawg, know that I am putting myself out there for whatever . . . . . there are a couple of folks heading to Athens that will be remembered as Friend's first pieces of success.

This is what I can say about Zach DeBell. Mean as a damn snake. Fears no one. Probably be in several scrimmage fights before the season starts. Trust me on this one . . . . before he leaves UGA, everyone will know his name, as will others in the SEC. Several schools in Florida tried to keep this young man's name quiet. Great get for UGA. I stand on that, as do many others down this way.

Last we heard down this way, and it is accurate, JTII has not only put muscle on Zach, much of that weight is muscle. This young man has great feet, and if anyone wants to count the 40 times . . . . under 4.9. Not only did Friend get a really good athlete, an athlete that works, he and UGA got a team player. Just have to keep his cool, been known to get pissed off.

I know, he is a freshman, never played a down in the SEC. Stand by folks, before this year is over, Zach will play. Once he is on the field, never wants to leave, and probably won't. Same kind of player that AM is, loves to play football.

Go Dawgs . . . . Coach'em Up Friend . . . . :)
