wlayton, being from the Valdosta area once upon a time, you are probably in tune with Ole Times Country Buffet Exit 18. . . . great buffet. They have 5 or 6 locations I think. :)

Yep the O'Neals own several resturants in Valdosta.......The Buffets were the first.....don't think they have as many Buffets as 6 now maybe 3.....but the one at exit 18 was still there and one on Ashley Street was there also last time I was "home" back in Nov.......miss Valdosta been gone from there 8 years now......

ogredawg, had heard that other parties bought into this and opened in different areas. Personally, have eaten at Valdosta and Warner Robins was the other one, I think. Might have been Tifton. I try to keep away from Tifton, they seem to like to jump those Florida cars especially with I-75 under construction for a million or so years. Paid a heavy fine there. Reminds me of the way Ludiwici was back in the day, before interstate highways. Old timers know the many sad tales that came out of Ludiwici.

Here is a listing of the restaurants carrying the name. Clicking on the photos makes me want to fire up the old Model A . . . .
