The posts that are being made on this subject, on this board are certainly worth reading. Lots of folks have opinions and it seems to me that everyone that has posted thus far are real close on the direction that UGA should take.
Does me good to read posts from those that are around but don't hit the keys a lot. Piece from Thriller this morning was as good as I have read in a long time. Much thought and a lot of facts, some of the journalists working for the rags could learn from some of the posts and threads that support this site.
Looking at the money that UGA pays out to their coaches, makes me wonder why an elite coach would not consider Athens. Richt has proven that longevity is possible when coaching at UGA. The State of Georgia I think is rated as the number 4 state having the best and most football players.
Do know this, when I look at Auburn and Alabama rosters, I know that they have been poaching across state lines. Sad thing about that is the caliber of players they are moving across the state line.
I am going to remember what Grantham said upon arrival and hold him to it. My wish is before next season starts he has that man in the middle that he wants. If he gets that piece, and maybe a young man named Drew, this defense could be hard to handle. That makes it imperative that Richt rights this team. I say that because I believe McGarity has said win or walk the plank.
Thriller, if it takes three before we start smiling again, think maybe the folks choosing the replacements might need to be replaced. Hard for me to say anymore, the folks in power at UGA have me befuddled. Took Bama a while, maybe we should learn from that program in Tuscaloosa, spend the money and get the "next" Saban that appears.
BullDogShannon, had too much wine that night, I was curled up under the table out of sight. Think it was Thunderbird Wine. I say that with respect.
