Richt is just too wholesome for todays game. Running up the score is the order of the day. Crushing opponents is what it takes. As offenses have evolved no lead is safe. look at Alabama / Auburn. The aw shucks golly gee crap just will not fly anymore.
The case came to light after reporters began looking into Dowtin's absence from the Bulldogs' Liberty Bowl loss Dec. 31. Dowtin, a backup linebacker who was fourth on the team in tackles, did not play, though that decision was apparently unrelated to the case. UGA spokesman Claude Felton said that coach Mark Richt was not aware of the incident until Monday and was gathering information.
