New coach yet?

Buc, I understand the concept of production but in your example, as your boss, I made the mistake several years ago by extending your CONTRACT.

Keep in mind, CMR and UGA are under a contract, a little different than your scenario but I totally understand your point Buc.......underperformance.

UGA has to consider that contactual obligation.....a verbal lashing or firing "don't work in today's society" anymore.....SHOULD.... but doesn't.

Can't disagree with your post wlayton. Agree actually.

What is being proposed by many is that the existing contract be honored and bite the bullet on the numbers. Might be called a crap shoot by many, and in a way it is. The other side of the coin is a bit different however. The unknown sometimes becomes what all want, just a bit scared to roll the dice. Raheem Morris took the mess that Jon Gruden left him in Tampa and turned the franchise around in two years. It can be done and does happen, more than some like to admit.

I'm with ya Buc. It's obvious I'm touting Patterson (waste of time though)......who would you like to see UGA go after?

wlayton this may seem a bit strange coming from me. Feel that Richt will be around for a while at least one year, maybe two. If that is the case, we should be looking for a different approach on the offensive side. Would love to see Randy "Bull" Johnson, Richt's brother in law take over and . . . . run the offensive side. He is far advanced over Richt in play calling and playing the game. This guy is the main reason that Gruden won the super bowl.

On the defensive side, this is what Richt did . . . hired a coach from the pros. I still think that CTG is going to put one hell of a defense on the field. I did not understand some of the 3/4 calls that he made in Memphis, that matters little at this point. I will take the pie in the face if CTG does not get it done. Just really want to see who believes in CTG in this recruiting class.

Taking note that Muschamp is not letting any grass grow under his feet. Foley/Muschamp going straight to the pros and that is a wise move not only for talent at UF, but players want to be around those that can help them reach the next level. Sorry, UF is going to be even tougher under Foley/Muschamp. Scary fact.

We are destined to play on the East side of the SEC forever. Time for us to wake up and hire the right folks if we are going to keep Richt.

Sorry, went on another tangent . . . . I think UGA at this point is really watching the upcoming recruit commits.

The question was who. Patterson would be a great hire. Another coach that I like but would never be considered is Leach. He is too testy for the current administration. Leach has the same personality as CTG.

Let's hire Mark Mangino--that way, since we can't beat UF, at least our coach could out-eat Weis at the cocktail party.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

He would never make it to Jax.....he would die in camp from the heat.

Buc, Leach has a great offensive mind but he's "nuts".
