Buc....No that was not a choke sign given by CTG, it was a defensive call for a fieldgoal block.
In other words if you do block the sob I will ring your neck.

So far King Adams has stayed out of CTG way, I think he knows that if there is a drop in ticket sales more than a coaches head could roll. Go Dawgs

yankeedawg1, I am fully in CTG's camp. Even with some of the high scores, if we look close enough, CTG is getting some things done. Hope he comes up with 3 or 4 young men that he really wants this time around.

I am watching the rerun of UGA/UF game now, the defensive players are flying around. CTG has some of that old time meanness in his bones, UGA can only profit from that. We lost the game, however, think maybe a "true" foundation is being laid on the defensive side.

Also noticed that Ogletree got playing time, he is going to be a load next year. Jarvis Jones and Alec are about the same size, would not be surprised to see AO at linebacker with Jones in our next edition.

Has been said many times on this board, there is not a lack of talent in Athens now, and it should be even better next season with another year of experience. No substitute for experience . . . . whether on the field or in "civilian" life.

Mark Richt talking the party line, check what AM had to say about CTG's fire. . . . Another reason this QB is so valuable, loves both sides of the ball.

Todd Grantham’s choke sign at the end of the Florida game came up during Mark Richt’s weekly news conference. Richt was aware of the brouhaha around his defensive coordinator.

“I’ll just say that emotions run high and people do things that they probably wish they wouldn’t do,” Richt said. “I think that was what was being communicated. I don’t think he’s necessarily proud of it. We're just gonna learn from it and move on.”

Quarterback Aaron Murray was also asked about it. He said he hadn’t heard about it until an hour before the press conference, but after being apprised didn’t believe it was anything to get worked up about.

“It’s not like he charged the field at the kicker and tried to do something to him,” Murray said. “I don’t think it’s too big of a deal. I think people are making too much of a deal about it. Emotions run high. … It was nothing dangerous or illegal or stupid or anything like that, so I don’t see the big deal about it.”

Plus, that’s just Grantham, a fiery kind of guy, according to Murray.

"I mean during the game this past week, he was getting me pumped up, getting me going, saying , ‘Get in the end zone.’ I love coach Grantham," Murray said. "He has some fire to him. I think the guys love it, I love it personally. He’s yelling and going crazy, it gets me pumped up to see him getting after a defense and getting them ready to go. That’s his mentality and I think it’s awesome.”
You go AM . . . . little pi$$ and vinegar never hurt . . .

And therein lies the problem with Richt. "Now now, calm down CTG. We don't do that here. We stay calm."blah blah blah.

I'm glad he did what he did--at least he was passionate enough to want to show emotion.

Remember back to when AM ran to the endzone for a score against La-Laf? Bobo/Richt got on to him b/c THEY wanted a FG and or not wanting him to get hurt. The kid has passion. tebow had passion-he never got hurt badly.

So, we have CTG with piss and vinegar, and we have AM loving it.....but CMR / Bobo want "calm", want "nice".

That is the problem.

You totally missed the point on CMR talking to AM about that run. There was only about 11 seconds left in the half and all he was explaining to AM is that they did want to take one shot at the endzone (with a pass) and if not complete, then they still had time to kick the FG. With AM taking off running, the clock was going to definetly run out and if he didn't get in the endzone they would give up the 3 points. That's is correct imo because it is and ALWAYS will be the percentage way to play out that scenario. You go for the TD while still keeping the 3 available before halftime.

Oh, Tebow never got hurt badly??? Hurt shoulder his Jr. year and a freakin concussion that kept him out of 1-2 games. Plus 6'3'' 240 lbs versus 6'0' 200.....apples and oranges. Doesn't matter anyway, CMR wasn't concerned about him getting hurt on that play....it was the time management described above.
