I am beginning to think CTG should apply to be our HC next year.

Go back and read the whole quote: he is trying to tell AM that threes are OK (which has been a reason we are historically poor in the redzone under CMR---that is, until last satuday against UF in OT when you are going against a team with a BACKUP kicker. We had ALL the mo; we had them on the ropes; we needed safe, short, roll out type passes to move to score a TD. But NO, this time, it's a 33 yarder into the corner of the endzone that had to be PERFECT to work. Oh, and the AM pass he is getting reemed for in OT? Has everyone forgotten there were TWO WR's on the same spot on the field? As even a former HS QB, I know that isn't right. With a split second to make a decision, I don't blame a 19 year old
I blame the same offensive staff for poor player teaching. SOMEONE ran the wrong route. That is preperation, and that is coaching. KD and AJ Gren don't get paid $3 million a year to prep, but CMR does.
We just disagree on this one.

I have watched Bobby Bowden for most of his years at FSU. Sorry, MR is a clone of BB. When the seams started to separate, BB lost control of not only the team, he lost his fan base. Another good guy, and his demeanor is carried on by MR. It does not work.
Wonder what Saban would have done in the same situation. What did Saban have to say about the "Black Jerseys". What did he do about that incident . . . . whipped our butts and stopped his team from putting 100 points on MR. FACT. Played one half of football and put MR in his place. Saban has not looked back since.
Some can live with coaching at UGA as it exists, understand that. Certainly does not mean that a rather large group of UGA Alumni and fans have to continue to buy into the program as it is being ran. I, for one, have lived through the dark ages with my team, don't want to go there again or in this case, remain there.
Young studs like AM are hard nosed, they play that way, will never play any other way. Sure he might get hurt, he understands that, even saw him slide before getting hit one time. Bet that impressed MR and MB.
At this point I am not sure who is calling the plays for us, maybe we think that it is MB, when in reality it might be MR. This game certainly was not totally lost on the offensive side of the ball, but there were some glaring errors that have shown their ugly head before in the play calling department that arose again.
Also, not sure MR is calm, looks like he is lost in some instances. Bobby Bowden also had that look. Just sayin' . . . .

No, NC. It wasn't Beck. It was Rachel Maddow.

Now, next shot is shown of CMR. He looks asleep. he accepted that.
So, here is where we are: people can say "Hey, lets give him one more year, b/c we will have 9 guys back on offense, 2nd year with CTG, blah blah blah."
That sounds good and all. But what people don't understand is this: We will still have the same dropped passes against UF, we will still have a 3rd and 5 inches at the fifty, and instead of getting the first down and moving the chains, we will throw a 20 yard post that is dropped, where we will punt and get called for hitting the return man. Then, that team will start at the 30 with 2 minutes to go instead of the 15, and will go down and kick the game winning FG and then we all sit around and wonder why we lost to Ole Miss." It won't matter that we have 50 guys back, it won't matter b/c we will not understand the situation of where we are in the game, We will not understand that getting 5 inches with a QB sneak will give us the win. I saw it two years ago against SC. We start at our own 10 with 3:00 on the clock, up 4. We throw three straight passes over 15 yards. All incomplete. We punt to SC with about 2:20 or so left. We are one untipped pass away from losing a game that SC had no business even having a shot at winning.
THAT will not change with players coming back. The only thing that will save Bobo/ CMR is that CTG gets the defense back to where it was with BVG. That way, many of CMR's mistakes will be overlooked.

Wlayton, it was against La Laf. Let the kid be aggressive. let the kid showcase his talent. CMR loves FG's. About time someone tried to take it to the house. It's OK for CMR to let him know privately, but when he says it publicly, it sounds like he is teaching that THREES are ok.

On that ONE incident, ANY coach in America, whether it is college or the NFL, would have told the QB the same thing. That ONE incident is absolutely the right way to manage the clock at the end of the half and at LEAST guarantee you don't walk away with NOTHING. Not arguing with you about other stuff (that wasn't on topic).
