Couldn't agree more. Saw a fire UM website that has been launched. Coaches just cannot uphold fan expectations anymore. The era of dynasty's are long over. Look at the last couple of weeks. Bama beats UF by 20, USC beats bama fairly easily, and UK beats USC. The SEC has become to strong for their own good.

There's no coach in the country that is going to come into UGA and win consistently for as many years as Richt has. They might do the same thing, but not much better. May luck up and win a NC, but I believe Richt could as well. To tough of a league. Kentucky is not the same old Kentucky. USC is much better than 3-4 yrs ago. Vanderbilt was getting better, but appears to be going back. UT is down, and the West is better than the East. Those are just plain and simple truth's.

I guess after the season let's put a couple million in the quarter slot and watch thoses horses turn.

For now though, I would love to see us return the favor to the Boo Nation. Have to find a way to stop the Cobb kid. Great player.

Buc, you called it on AM. Incredible. May leave as one of the best to ever play at UGA if he can stay healthy.

GO DAWGS, keep the momentum going

The SEC has always ate there young. We beat each other up come every Saturday conference game. Thats why the SEC wins the NC year after year. It is also why our bowl win records rank so high also. Sunshine pumper or not I still don't want to trade our problems for likes of ND or Minn.
What a mess at USC for years to come, Lame gets to enjoy it all. Sad part he is well paid to do so. TN will be back I am not sure DD will be given the time needed or his asst coaches have the horse power to coach in the SEC. Like everything else time will tell. Mean while lets focus on KY and letting Big Bad Bruce go 2-0.... Go Dawgs

AllDawgs5, while a lot of us can agree/disagree on certain aspects of UGA football, whether right or wrong, think most of us can agree that AM is special. Know everyone wants him to slide, not take hits . . . . said it before, he plays football the "old fashioned way".

Guess that is why I like his play so much . . . . Old and Buc go together . . . :)

AM is special, team player . . . AJ wide open on one play against Vandy, Durham got the ball, he was open also. AM is a player that is tough, but he understands the "play book". He played ball in Tampa with OC, there were inseparable . . . folks, with our TE's and this offensive line coming together, the best is yet to come. Being fair, did see OC drop a beautiful pass. That will change. . . . :)

Must say this . . . have not changed my thoughts on some of the coaching aspects. AllDawgs5, UGA is talent ridden. Will never let up on losing 4 games with our talent.

OK, on to Kentucky, really looking forward to "repaying a certain loss on our turf". This is truly a chance for our Dawgs to make a stand, turn some of this around. My 2 cents.

I am with you on AM. As far as the coaching situation, at the end of the day, I just hope UGA does what is best for UGA in the long run. I have an opinion, but its not worth as much as the keyboard I have to use to type it. I agree with the talent and the record. Forget 4 games, I never want to see them lose a game. But, in today's game, everybody has got talent. For the most part, we base our talent on the recruiting databases, the same databases that had the Cobb kid as a 2 star. They do a good job, but they miss on talent all the time. Now, I know there are guys like AJ, and AM who we can obviously see now, but there is no guarantee all kids are going to end up that good.

I know I have left my self open to the ole "well if everyone has talent, then it must be the coaching." If that is the case then right now, Les Miles and Gene Chizek are the best. Or Joker Philips. Spurrier beat Saban, Philips beat Spurrier. Could go on forever. Conference is loaded with talent and coaching. Will say it again, the days of dynasty's in the SEC are over.

GO DAWGS.

Not going to say a lot about the "coaching" . . . right now ;)

Below is a piece that I picked up on the internet. Now, must say this, not a big fan of SS, but good coaching does go something like this . . . talk the other guy up, strengthen my teams position in the SEC.

SS is a master at riling folks up, don't believe it, ask anyone in the State of Florida, or UGA in particular. Never forget the beating in Athens. Bobby Bowden and Mark Richt know how SS operates.

Coaching is more than motivating ones own team, opposing coaches can and WILL try and motivate other teams that can serve a cause for themselves and their teams.

Spurrier lauds Georgia

Georgia all of a sudden looks like “the best team in the SEC” according to one interested observer. Yes, your old favorite and mine, the Ol’ Ball Coach.

Steve Spurrier spoke about resurgent Georgia during his weekly news conference Tuesday. Then the South Carolina head coach pointed out that basically everybody is resurgent in the SEC East.

“Yeah, Georgia played very well, ran the ball, threw the ball (against Vandy). They looked like the best team in the SEC probably last week and the week before against Tennessee. They got their act together,” Spurrier said. “They are still in the hunt in the East. Heck, everybody is in the hunt.

“Well, heck Vanderbilt is still in the hunt. I think in the conference they are 1-2, yep, they’ve only got two losses. That Eastern side, Tennessee is a little bit in a hole I guess at 0-3, but anyway most of us have just played four games, a few have played five. It’s pretty much wide open.”

Georgia head coach Mark Richt said he has noticed an improved mood around the team, but didn’t ascribe it to being back in the the SEC race.

“I’m sure it’s in the back of everybody’s mind that things could get more exciting,” Richt said. “But it won’t be more exciting if we don’t win this game.”

Want to see and hear what makes this QB special, listen to what he has to say. Never, ever does he throw trash at anyone. AM is very much like a QB that plays for the Super Bowl Champion Saints. Too small, not enough this, not enough of that. BS. This young man plays football. Instinct is a lot of his game, but in the gray matter, he is tops.
