CK out for 2

You are on the mark wlayton.

Some of these "peace officials" carry a chip on their shoulders. Not real crazy about some of these "college kids" getting a break. Arrests keep the police department in business. That is a damn fact.

Then, on the other side of the coin, we have stupid . . . . Caleb King and Waushan Ealey.

College kids are going to drink, this day and time, high school kids are not falling behind. Facts are facts.

Little off of the subject . . .
Notice where King Adams wants UGA to enter into engineering in a big way. This was going to be interesting. . . . then the Regents stepped up and nixed the plan after originally looking to move forward. Governor voiced his feelings and things changed.

CMR: "Once and for all, let me be perfectly clear - If you get arrested for anything, you're off the team, permantly. Got it? Any questions?"

Dog1: "What if you get caught drinking under 21?"

CMR: "Did you get arrested?"

Dog1: "Uhh, I think so."

CMR: "Pack your bags"

Dog2: "What if I get a DUI?"

CMR: "Arrested?"

Dog2: "I'm over 21!"

CMR: "Next question"

Dog3: "What if I'm in an accident but I had to leave to go back and study for an exam and they arrest me?"

CMR: "I'll tell Hargrove how good you are."

Dog4: "What if I'M in an accident, but I have to leave because there's an outstanding warrant for my arrest and I don't want to get arrested because I'll get kicked off the team?"

Dog5: "Can we have an agent if we don't get arrested?"

and on.....and on....and on.

Where do we get these bricks? But, I do know that the vast majority of our guys are intelligent, down to earth, good men. It's time to do a little better weeding BEFORE they get in school to avoid this kind of embarrassment.

Buc, one of UGA’s largest obstacles to success is the Athens PD. You can’t tell me that alcohol-related infractions are not occurring at these other schools. The difference is that most of the other police departments call the coach and say that they need to come get so and so because he’s had too much or something like that. In Athens, that boy goes to jail, and it’s front page news the next day.

There’s a guy from the Dawgvent that studied it. Last year, there were 1,500 alcohol-related arrests of UGA undergrads. At UF (which is 1/3 larger than UGA), there were 750. At Alabama (similar size to UGA), there were 500. The Athens PD is on a mission, especially regarding alcohol.

These are college kids. They are GOING to drink beer… not only at UGA, but everywhere… save maybe BYU.
