CK out for 2

wlayton, last few weeks a lot of the things associated with UGA have really hit a nerve with me. Did try and think in terms of what is best for UGA.

wlayton, kept coming back to the same conclusions. Read many posts by folks on this site, folks that I felt had many of the same feelings on the issue of UGA progressing or in decline.

There were a couple of smart asses that came on for show and tell, but the strong supporters of UGA located here were pretty much in agreement. That is another thing, there were some strong pros and cons, was very interesting to see different views. A lot was said, maybe some feelings were damaged, but all survived.

I have said about all I can concerning my feelings. I love the University of Georgia, I care what happens to our school both on and off of the field. Said before, do not want to go through some of the things that other schools have had to face because "someone did not do their job".

Believe that our new AD is going to put some frowns on faces that took the low road. He knows like you and I and others here, at some point the hole gets too deep to climb out of. We are dangerously close.

The trend continues not only in embarassment, but disappointment in this program. It's obvious that MR has less than a watchful eye on these kids. Forfeiting wins will end up being the the ultimate turd in the punch bowl at the number one party school. Another thing several of us are not jumping to hang our hat on.

Folks I have been a MR supporter and have been one to say we need to be careful what we ask for in a change at HC, but the turmoil we face each week as fans, alumni and supporters is growing. I honestly do not see how MR can save his rear end if these allegations hold true, another player is dismissed and wins are vacated. Seems when in a hole the only answer is a "what me worry" type approach and a bigger shovel.

No way we win out, especially with the Gators and wareagletigerplainsmen coming up. Hearing that if MR beats UF it may save his posterior, but I am doubtful with the snowball of improprieties.

I'm waivering from my stance(which I never do) and saying a change may be just what the doctor ordered. Even if a setback in recruiting, new staff and system causes us a few rough years. I'll sleep better knowing we will have secured a tough, winning mentality type coach that develops players and coaches up talent to superiority.

Execution and results on and off the field are paramount right now and IMO can only come with a change at the top. I can handle losing a few we should not and going through one of those "tough" seasons, but I have too much damn pride in this school to watch it become the next "Free Shoes U"!

Good Riddance to CK. Needs to go regardless of this mess with the money! I have a talk with everyone that works for me and make it clear that if I cannot trust you, I cannot work with you. Trust is broken yet again by CK.

Go Dawgs!

If we have to vacate wins that is perilously close to complete lack of control right there.

But Buc has made me see the light. Richt is a closet muslim!

DawgnLA, Auburn had a coaching change, did not seem to hurt them too much. There will always be good young players available, players that will respect the school. I am with you, not going to allow the potential players in high school dictate policy to UGA.

I was glad to see Richt come to Athens. He did not grow into the job in my opinion. Not only did he make some serious mistakes hiring assistants, he really lost control of the players. That is at least two-thirds of what he was hired for.

Oh,...crap,...did I say that outloud????....forgot my meds.....

Buc, your post earlier was one of the best threads I've read in some time! Well said, my friend and spot on!...I'll reserve judgement for Obama until he's had more than 2 years...but, against all the arguments and reconciliations, I honestly believe CMR has taken this program as far as he can, based on his abilities to lead and guide young men at this level.

LA, I here ya...Its been a terrible week. I've been a CMR advocate for a long, LONG time, but I worried that the Free Willie issue was more symptom of a far worse condition....

Hell, I'm realistic knowing we will never reach the national prominence of programs like USC, Bama and Michigan in my lifetime, but I will never accept mediocrity...I fear we are heading toward the abyss of "also rans" and fear of change should never be the reason not to decide NOW what will be decided for you soon enough.

GO DAWGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
