Paid particular attention to Richt at his Wednesday press conference, also watched Saban at his press conference this week. Two totally different approaches to football and how it should be played and coached.

Richt, smiling, jovial, outwardly doing ok with what is facing not only him, facing UGA FOOTBALL. Lots would say, you want him to cry Buc, no, want him to show some damn emotion. Tired of the Bobby Bowden "gee whiz act". Where did that get Bowden? If we as supporters of UGA go along with that kind of display, it is unthinkable in my opinion that anything at the University is going to change, change on the football field. THE MONEY COW FIELD.

Check the seats out in Sanford this weekend for Homecoming. Used to be a fun time, and we of course always tried to schedule Vanderbilt. Bruce's first game. All seats should be taken and that includes student section.

Probably don't need to say too much about Saban. Never broke a smile, called it like he saw it, stepping on toes without a second thought. Saban had a bitter taste in his mouth, none of the "oh gosh" talk. Saban hates losing, wish I could say that I see the same with Richt. Saban is already planning his visit to Atlanta and maybe having a shot at SS. Bama wins by more than the Vegas spread will be for that game. Can we say the same about Richt? Does he have that kind of fire?

Do not think that Richt can run the UGA football program and turn this mess around. These are his players, they are giving him the "Yes coach I will do better talk" and he buys it. Some, not all of these players are making a laughing stock out of their coach. And he buys it!

Might want to play the guys that want to play, KM and others, not sure you will be around after his freshman year. The noise is getting louder, folks are not whispering anymore. Get rid of the Bowden speak . . . things will get better, and . . . . the folks with the loudest voices have not "been in the arena". Might be however, remember this, those that have not been in the arena have a lot to do with that money you are being paid. . . .

Have given this topic a lot of thought, this is where my mind settled.

President Obama Popularity Contest in the polls = High with many.
President Obama on performance in the polls = Very Low.

Mark Richt Popularity Contest = High with many.
Mark Richt on performance last 5 years or so = Very Low.

Most of my life I have had to perform, or did without.

First business that I owned was a "Service Station". Not a gas station as it is called now. My business was successful because I cleaned windshields, raised the hood and checked the oil and battery water. My income was based on service and performance.

Owned two restaurants, the above applied there also.

Publishing/Print business, the above applied.

There are reasons that some folks own and operate a business, and there are reasons that some take another route and work for others. Nothing wrong with that. Some want a weekly paycheck, others extend themselves and look for a bit more.

President Obama ran on a platform of change . . . . you decide.

Mark Richt was hired at UGA, reason being, change. There was change in the beginning, however, ask yourself this question, hard to lie to ones self. Are we getting the same change now as when he began? I have watched the results and I say not.

With any business that I have been associated with or owned, it came down to performance. Are we getting that performance from Mark Richt?

Sometimes it is hard to part with a friend, but when so many people are involved with the outcome, if the friend is responsible for a steady decline, then friend has to move on.

Mark Richt came to UGA, said he was ready to run the football program. Did for a while, that has now changed. Look anywhere on the internet, what do you see when UGA is mentioned, player arrests. Why do we play at noon instead of prime time? I am sure most of us know the answer to that.
