From Athens Sunday Afternoon

Greetings from Athens,

Once again we know the great feeling of being a Georgia Bulldog on a Saturday night after a win.

Did you see CTG slam the white board down on the sidelines? He’s back chewing butt. Pat them on the head and kick them in the butt. Great to see.

My dime we are 6 -0 if AJ played those four games. I know he does not play a down on defense but our “O” feeds off what the “D” does. We stop TN take the ball and march 70 yards to a TD. If and butts what a wonderful world it would be.

We all said we wanted to see improvement with each game, Saturday we did just that.

Buc, AM needs to hire you as his agent. He is going to put up huge numbers while here in Athens. He will play on Sunday also.

Russ retires at 4 &4 on to UGAVIII next week. We have another Tenn. team coming to town. I say let’s play UT-Martin and go for a trifecta!

It is a bluebird day not a cloud in the sky. The sunshine pumpers are out in full force. Me I will wait and see what the next six games produce.

Seems like Saban puts his shoes on one at a time. Have great week. As alays GO Dawgs!!

Go Dawgs!

If AJ plays we are at worst 5-1.

yes yd1 = it was good to see CTG throw that white board

kd - I don't see us better than 3-3 - no matter who plays - our players are just too soft - just like their head coach - as I watch these other teams play - they are in a lot better condition and have more desire to win than we do - yes we did some good things this week - but I think ut was a little down after last week - that win may only keep us out of the cellar plus I think the ut game was just because they had a really good pep talk - not from the head coach - but from a former player

ATHENS – That must have been quite a speech Boss Bailey made to the Georgia football team on Friday.
Here’s the background: Bailey, a former Georgia linebacker, first-team All-SEC as a senior in 2002, was honorary captain for Saturday’s game against Tennessee. Honorary captains typically are asked to speak to the team on the day before the game. Bailey did so in the team meeting room at the Butts-Mehre building on Friday afternoon.
Here’s what Mark Richt had to say Saturday about what Bailey had to say Friday:
“Boss, he pretty much called them out. But he did it in a way where it was very compassionate. It was very obvious that he loves Georgia, obvious that he loves those guys, but he felt like he needed to tell them that they weren’t playing ball the way ball should be played here at Georgia.
“He mentioned some things to the defense. He mentioned a couple of things to the offense. But the thing that stood out the most was his passion and his sincerity in his voice that he loves Georgia.
“You know, there’s a lot of times that we as coaches are trying to help these guys understand what it means to be a Bulldog. We try as many things as we can to emphasize that point. But Boss exemplified what it means to be a Bulldog in that moment in time. There have been a lot of good honorary-captain speeches and talks and all those kinds of things, but there was none better than that because here’s what they needed to hear and it was done in a way they knew he cared about them. We’re really thankful Boss came and did what he did for us.”

I SAY LET'S HIRE "BOSS"

GO DAWGS

With Green in the game we beat Colorado (the whole game), Arkansas and Miss. State at least. He changes the entire game. Maybe we still lose to SC, but it would be close.

SC stacked the line all game long and we were in that until the fumble (IIRC).

You and YD1 are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. Don't want to get that thread started up again but if people can't see how much a difference maker AJ is, then they are totally blind (exception.....sadlerdawg, my friend).

AJ changes EVERYTHING on the field.....EVERY phase of the game is effected. EVERY phase!!!.....even special teams.

Will enter this . . . . same can now be said for AM. You have to look at what he did to Tennessee if your job is game planning. Another cog in the wheel that makes us better.

Coaches, listen up. . . . . We have a big wide receiver playing tight end now. OC would do wonders on the outside. He is not slow, and I don't want to be the DB that has to tackle OC. Just my opinion. He is being wasted at TE. We have a couple of really good TE's. Put OC in the slot, only good things will happen.
