UM is a program in decline. They are like Minnesota was in the 60's. A lot of people do not realize that at one time Minn. was the best team in the Big 2+9 and had the most national championships. The fell of the map after the 60's. I see the same for Michigan. The state is losing population so they are losing prospects.
The south east is growing like wild fire. More people = more homegrown talent. I do not think it is a coincidence that Cali, Texas and Florida are hotbeds of football and happen to be three of the 4 biggest states. The other NY is busy watching spranos and talking abut seeing Dr. J at Rucker park so they do not actually get any exercise.
Very good and interesting points kentdaddy. Makes perfect sense to me. Heck, the SEC may become SO talented etc based on your analysis that they should just break away from the NCAA and have it's own league, Texas theirs and California theirs. Then play have a round robin playoff for the NC.
