With all due respect, firing Bobo is not the answer. The problem is that Richt gave himself a promotion to CEO. He was a great OC who was crucial to building Bowden's legend. His halftime adjustments were the best in the NCAA and better than most NFL. Unfortunately, he is not a very good CEO. If he was a good CEO then we would not still be having these discussions from 2008.
Trying to make sense of this post Swampdog. I am a bit slow, so hang with me.
Are you saying that MB should remain as Offensive Coordinator? We all have opinions, would suggest that you are probably in the minority if you think that is the case.
Richt not being a very good CEO, using your words, guess that explains promotions to MB and WM after he promoted himself to CEO. Looks as if he failed on all three promotions.
It has been said many times on this site that Richt should be calling the plays, nothing new there. Don't know that I would take his play calling to the point of saying that he is/was better than most in the NFL or the NCAA. That pardner is a big chew.
Call Richt . . . Coach, Head Coach, CEO, any of the three mentioned, still lays on his shoulders. Serious mistakes with all three of the positions he has taken with UGA. All three are responsible for a serious falling off of the slope at this point. Did not start yesterday.
Just my opinion. That is what these discussions are about, with all due respect.
As far as MB, he is just as much at fault for taking the job if not qualified. More so if he won't do what is best for UGA after failing at the job he was given. Lots of folks trying to hold onto their jobs these days, appears that MB is in that line, qualified or not. It falls on both of these men's shoulders.
