   Hello all you young gentlemen. Guess I'mm the old man on this board at the tender age of 78, will be 79 on 10-29-10. My first car , a 1935 Ford coupe cost me $100.00. Drove it from Yankee Land to Athens my Soph yr in under-grad school. No interstate roads, all two lane blacktops all the way. Yes, 1957 was a great year, cause that's the year I graduated from UGA with two degrees. The cruel world awaited me. Missed Athens so much I headed back there on most Sundays to see friends & visit the frat house. I worked the counter at Harry's Drive-in at five points and was good friends with Harry Stevens the owner. Anyone remember Harry's Drive-in?? Like everything even Athens has changed and in some cases not for the better. You used to be able to hitch hike from the Fine Arts building to Ag hill. No more; totally unsafe for man, women or beast. There's a new breed of homo sapien walking the streets of the world today. And we wonder where the discipline is in our society today. Folks it's non-existent in today's culture. Oh well as movie tone news used to say "time marches on."
As always, GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!
