4. Said before....will say again.....CK is just an above average RB

I still think the play calling has a lot to do with CK looking average. Seems almost all of his runs are up the middle for a yard or two, then they toss to CT (or WE, when he's playing) and they gain 7 or 8. My son and wife are probably getting tired of hearing me yell at CMB to get CK to the outside at least 15 times a game.

Oh yeah, wlayton, I agree with all of your other assessments.

He seems a little tentative to me, never seems to run very physical.....like he never got completely over his HS broken leg.

I've noticed that too, wlayton, and have thought the same thing. He just seems to be more tentative running straight towards the big nasties than when he's going around the end. Probably realizes bones break easier by 350 lb linemen than 220 lb safeties!!

Want to pose a question . . . .

First AM looks pretty good.

Mason definitely throws a pretty pass. No wabble, spiral all the way.

I agree with CMR on playing HM as a true freshman.

The question . . . .

If both of these young QB's continue to improve and get the job done . . . . where does that come into play with Christian LeMay?

Not a doubt in my mind that he has been told that the QB job is open for competition. Is Christian willing to sit, don't think so. Three young men with quarterbacking skills, better than average. If it were you coming into this situation, would you maybe change your school of choice?

As wlayton posted, AM needs to learn how to slide. Head first for a smart QB, (I think AM is smart) however, he just really gets caught up in the emotion of the game. AM loves to play football. Similiar in my opinion to an "old timer" toiling away in Minnesota. Keep in mind also what Colt McCoy said after watching AM at a football camp a couple years ago, best he had seen, maybe ever.

Remember, just asking. Also remember, any QB playing for any team in the country can get hurt. I love competition, I also like stability.

Maybe we won't win every game, do like the talent that has been mentioned on the Red and Black side that enters every game with the "new pp and vinegar attitude" that is on its way back.

Next game against South Carolina is a test. I love tests . . . . Go You Silver Britches . . .

Buc.....imo Mason could actually end up being another Joe Cox. LeMay is the real deal, he will definitely put Mason at #3. Once he gets a year under his belt he will push AM.

What you are going to witness over the next 4-5 (including this year for AM) years is an exact duplicate of the DG/DJ Shockley duo and competition. AM will play 4 years because don't believe he will leave early and they will redshirt LeMay next year. AM and CL will battle it out and if CL can't beat AM out, hopefully he will stay that one more year like DJ did and when another SEC championship. Problem is......if he can't beat AM out, I don't think he will be as loyal as DJ was.
