Agree with everyone on defense looking good. CTG's fire was put on display. This defense may be scary good by the end of the year.

Offensive Line needs lots of work. IMHO, we should have pushed them 5 yards off the ball on every play. Allowed too much pressure on QB with lesser talent defense.

I know this is only one game against a non SEC opponent, but AM looks special. I think he has that "IT" factor you just can not coach. Mason.... man what a pretty pass to Gray. Gentleman, again, only a 1 game body of work, but QB is not the position I am concerned about any longer. There will be growing pains, but the foundation is solid.

There is a new DAWG in town!

Buc, you definitely hit it when you told us AM was the real deal. Very impressive. Cool head, good wheels. VERY accurate passer. 2 "sadlers" for ya-- B) B)

sadlerdawg, you have been on this site for a long time, have nothing but respect for you and I do know that you understand the game. Very much like averagedawg, the both of you can say in 3 lines of copy that it takes me a full 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. I will use the "sadlerdawgs" wisely, that is a promise. If you tell me to "bump" a guy in the rear quarter panel, I will. B) B)

Living in Central Florida I get the best of coverage from North Florida and South Florida on these high school kids. So much talent here.

sadlerdawg, there had to be a lot of questions about AM, if it were a quarterback that I had not seen, that same shoe would fit my foot.

Must say this . . . .

On defense, CTG did not show ANYTHING. Have read where some think we should have put more pressure on the QB. Appeared to me that CTG played a basket full of players. That is a good thing. Not sure, but thought I saw KG out there at nose. CTG did not give away anything to South Carolina. I am not being ugly with this statement but . . . . his defense had a GREAT WALK THROUGH TODAY. The film sessions on this game will improve this defense by some percentage, of which I am not sure.

Good points Buc and all. I think today answered a lot of questions, perhaps just for me, but I have to say I feel a lot better about the season now. AM got wheels! Plus, for a freshman qb playing his first game, pretty good numbers overall. I don't think there will be too many more "the unanswered question for Georgia is the qb" conversations going forward. Those of you who were in the know on AM seem to be spot on. He'll be special. Bank it. HM got some time in too. I like that because he will be a good backup.

Defense shut down ULL. I know, it's a warm up game, but without the long play, they had close to zero yards of offense (discounting the fourth quarter where the third stringers rotated in).

In the past, some of our openers have been painful because the mistakes were legion, and the start was slow. This is a great way to get out of the gates. PLUS, with the firepower we were missing on offense...I'm just saying that things seem to be right in the Dawg House.

OL? Yeah, surprising given the experience and talent there, but we scored 55 points without our offensive stars and with CMR's stick to the script habit of sitting on large leads. We could have scored 70. Easily.

I feel much better at the beginning of this season as opposed to the past two. I think this team will surprise many, many people. Yep, we will lose one or two, but overall this is setting up to be a good year. And not for nothing; we played MUCH better than the gators, lol.

Yep. I live in Charlotte County. My daughter is a senior at the same school attended by Mike Bellamy. He had a stellar night last night. Shame we missed out on him.

1. Overall......very pleased at what I saw.
2. CTG has the D playing UGA football again.
3. The OL had better improve.
4. Said before....will say again.....CK is just an above average RB
5. Best kicking tandem in the country........hands down, not even close.
6. AM is a leader and is everything he was written up to be..........can you say Eric Zeier with legs? I do like his running ability but he had better learn to slide or avoid going down with his head leading or he's going to get injured.......='s....season over. With AM, we have a chance in the East, if he gets hurt, we're done.
7. Summary for me.........I've never seen so much talent at UGA. We have so many talented players it's hard to actually keep up with them. The sky's the limit. Very excited with what I saw today BUT we will see what we have next week when the REAL bell rings.
