Looking Ahead

Some interesting statements coming from the UGA AD and Head Coach.

I am guessing of course, but think that reading between the lines as I often do, CMR has information that won't be released for quite a while.

When CMR starts opening up as he has in the last couple of months, he has some recruits in his basket that many schools want but he expects to sign. CMR is almost \"giddy\", love seeing him gain his confidence back, and yes I think that he lost his confidence for a period of time. Think that he pulled the scab off of the wound, and lo and behold the wound had healed.

Still think that we win 10 or more games this year.

Brothers and Sisters, have a safe and terrific Memorial Day weekend, and most of all remember those that are on all of our teams.

Very interesting article from David Hale's column. wlayton living in the area that this young athlete comes from probably can fill in any holes if there are any. Reading the article, seems this young man has had a tough upbringing, looks to improve himself. Thinking Coach Richt has found another tough guy. Coach Grantham has a long resume, and it appears these young players coming to UGA like it.

Buc, I posted some time back about some info a friend of mine passed on to me concerning DB. He said that early on (first couple of years on the varsity) DB had some discipline problems. OPHS hired Danny Green before DB's senior year and turned the program around by establishing strong fundamental discipline both on and off the field. He said DB did a complete 180 and became a very good teammate, leader and citizen both on the field and in the community. Just another good example of what discipline can and will do for........anybody!! If the info was true and he's changed his life around, you've gotta be proud to have him headed to Athens.

Oh, btw.......he's a very good RB as well.

wlayton remember your post well. Has been a while back, but again as the news makes the news media, you are a step ahead. Think that I mentioned your post earlier in this thread.

I too am glad that he is heading to Athens, and I had thought earlier that he might end up in what I call the fullback slot. ;) wlayton, I just hope that the entire football team plays their collective hearts out.

As far as our QB, some will see what many of us down this way have seen and known for quite a while. A dummy he is not. Afraid, nope. Good arm and legs, yep.

Agree with a earlier post you made . . . . I am getting a bit tired also. Think I will jump in the pool and revitalize myself. You folks have a great weekend. :woohoo:

Agree wlayton

can't wait to see AM's skills put to the real test - if he does good out the gate and the D learns quick - I feel that 10 wins is not out of the ? - and maybe a BCS bid - especially if we rip them lizzards

101 days till the first of at least 10+ whuppin's

I keep reading different articles about what happens if AM goes down. Seems pretty simple to me at this point. LG takes the snaps. Agree or disagree, the possibility is there. He does know the play book.

This is the question that I ask myself often . . .
What happens if John Brantley goes down at UF?
Ryam Mallett, Arkansas
Stephen Garcia at SC (might not play too long this season as a starter)
Greg McElroy at Bama
Jordan Jefferson at LSU

On and on it goes.

While others might be three deep at QB . . . . just how deep are they when they have to come in and play? You cannot play football, enter the game and think about getting hurt. Not a single team wants to lose their starter, but there are no guarantees.

Article below caught my attention . . .
