wlayton you are correct. Bama's whole strategy changed when CC went out of the game. It was OBVIOUS. UT played well, but came up short. As far as when did they shut down their offense, the whole second half was three yards and a cloud of dust. They are NC's and that is all that really matters.

Could ah,Would ah, should Ah, Injuries are part of the game! nobody wants em but they happen. Thats why you need to be Deep in your roster of quality players. And The SEC is ah rough conf. where the big boys play! Got to be tough in this game. Also Oklahoma could say well we had Texas beat but sam bradford got hurt, so All that counts in football is, who is the better team the day you play. and last night Alabama was the team who got it done with what they had. One answer they do not have is what happened in Atlanta . . . . I have heard more than one excuse down here. They have excuses, not answers.

To say that Alabama cannot repeat next year sounds a lot like someone who has never played the game, or for that matter, understands football.

Easy for me to remember what Bama did to us in Athens. We came back in the second half to make it LOOK like a game . . . . Saban had us where he wanted us. These Gators are now in the mode of thinking that one man makes the football team.

Tell you what happened in Atlanta the same thing that happened in Athens, Saban coached team kicked our butts.

Buc I generally agree with everything that you have to post, but not this time. I am not making excuses for UT, just speculating on whether the game is different if CM plays. I personally think it is different. Bama may still win, but the kid has been in New York 2 years in a row. To say that the game would not have been different is ludacris. I have a great respect for Gilbert stepping into that game and looking the Bama D in the face and not backing down. He will be a special player in the years to come.

We got outplayed in ATl, no excuses, but we were in Atl. Remember that.
