Way to represent the SEC!

However, I also think this marks the end of the SEC empire. We've won 5 national championships this decade, 5 of the last 7, and 4 in a row. Spread across 3 teams from both divisions of the conference.

I don't think an SEC team will win the title next year though.

Alabama will be a force (and the king of the SEC) for the next several years.
That being said, I honestly believe that Texas wins last night if McCoy does not get hurt.
And they win easily!!

Bama wins that game regardless. They intentionally shut down the offense the 2nd half just to run clock. WHOLE different strategy if McCoy was playing. They didn't NEED to crank it up. (relaxing almost cost them though). UT is not as good as Bama, imo.

wlayton, I understand what your saying, but when did they shut down there offense. There last offensive TD was with 9 minutes left to play in the 2nd quarter. They were up 14-6, thats no time to shut they offense down.They had a field goal and the INT before the half, Saban wouldnt shut the offense down, he's not that type. If CC plays the entire game, Texas is able to open the offense up. The INT before the half probably doesnt happen, and the countless overthrown balls to open recievers probably dont happen.We can only speculate about what would happen, but when CC went out of the game, the entire Texas team was affected.

McElroy only threw 11 passes the whole game....that's shutting the offense down to run the clock.

Doesn't matter anyway, we can state our cases forever. Nobody will convince me UT is better than Bama or UF when UGA destroys Texas AM 44-20 and they put 37(?) on UT when they played and probably should have beat UT. In my mind enough said from that analysis alone.

Alabama's offensive output was their lowest of the year by a huge margin. Their kick/punt return average was almost ZERO.
And You cannot compare one game to another.
They are two different games!
Based on that theory, The Vols should have beat Alabama and the Va Tech blew out the Vols so I guess Va Tech is way better than Alab... oh wait they already played that game.
