Interesting update on the DC position

Several of the DC's being mentioned can't hurt the UGA program. This is a bit like Christmas Eve, great anticipation, wondering what is going to be under the tree.

We all know that this is not going to be a stop gap measure. This hire when confirmed might be here for a long time. I like stability.

Bud Foster hire could be much like the situation Coach Richt had at FSU, working WITH an older coach. If . . . if Coach Foster is hired, would make me very happy. Don't think that VaTech will part with Coach Foster without a fight.

Coach Richt, just get us a DC in here that understands the TOTAL GAME. Go Dawgs! :woohoo:

I agree with everything you posted about Bud Foster, Buc. I would LOVE to see him stalking the sidelines for the Red and Black.....and also think it may be a hard sell to get him away from VT.

I think the decision has already been made.
The big question is who.

Criminy!! How'd you like to be a potential UGA recruit and have the option of playing for CMR and Bud Foster???? You guys are setting me up for a disappointment here cuz the thought of that calibre of coach on the D side of the ball has got me giddy...If they need some help getting that mil$ together, just let me know where to send the check.

Just heard, Foster says no.

Mark Schlabach from ESPN just tweeted that Foster accepted a deal with VT, turning down the chance to coach between the hedges..............the search continues.
