Nice insider info. watson...this is a HUGE pick-up for the Dawgs.
Speaking of waton, I too was pulling hard for OLD Tom Watson; couldn't quite make the puts on the back 9 today but what an inspiring 4-day performance!
Anyways, back to football, here's the official news from Online-Athens:

Georgia will lose plenty of talent in the interior of its defensive line when seniors Geno Atkins, Jeff Owens and Kade Weston depart after this season.
That’s why landing a commitment from Douglass defensive tackle Garrison Smith might be among the more important additions for the 2010 class.
The nation’s No. 2-rated defensive tackle by Scout.com and Rivals.com announced Sunday night that the Bulldogs are his choice.
First, he tweaked some of Georgia’s biggest rivals by shedding a Georgia Tech shirt and then a Florida shirt before showing a red Georgia one underneath.
“I love my home and I don’t want to go nowhere else. Go Dogs!” Smith said in video streamed on the Internet on Dawgpost.com. “Georgia is just a great program. Got a lot of great coaches, great players, great tradition and great Georgia fans. There’s too much love in Georgia to leave.”
Smith’s brother, Greg, played for Georgia Tech.
The 6-foot-3 1D2, 260-pound Smith totaled approximately 100 tackles last season, according to his high school coach.
“He plays from sideline to sideline,” Douglass coach Kenneth Barrow said. “He’s a super kid character-wise, a good student-athlete.”
Smith becomes the 16th player to have publicly made a non-binding verbal commitment to join Georgia’s 2010 signing class.
Recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner has said the Bulldogs could sign 20 or 21 in the class.
