Ok Buc, the pieces of the puzzle are in ABUNDANCE. It's borderline ridiculous the players UGA is getting for the program.

The question.......Can they \"coach em up\"?....... NO excuses.

wlayton, I am on board with you. You living in Jax, know that you are hearing some of the same things that I am hearing on Merritt Island. Florida folks are beginning to talk about Coach Richt and those that surround him. They are worried about Coach Richt pulling serious talent out of this state and are voicing their opinions in the print media.

Also notice that Urban is trying to sign a young man that stands 6'5\" and weighs 240 or so out of Georgia. Trying to replace a big QB with someone larger. Tells us a lot about the reasons receivers are leaving the state and heading to programs that give them a greater chance of playing on Sundays. Top receivers out of Tennessee, Florida casting their vote with UGA, seems like a statement has been made about the Dawgs and our brand of football.

Last words . . . . WM if you have it, better show it. Talent is on and coming to the campus. :woohoo:

You are so right Buc. If you were a huge offensive talent with sights on the NFL, would YOU go to UF? Now way....I would be heading to a pro-style offense in college.

BTW, the gators here in Jax are so obnoxious that they can't even see what CMR is doing to UF's talent base.

Hey UF......get ready for UM to head north to a certain school with a \"golden dome\" within the next 3 years. UGA will have all his talent in Athens.

Wassup fellow Bulldogs, this is Hot Mike coming in from Sac-Town. Im okay with CMR recruiting in Florida with little problem but Ga has enough talent to compete with anyone. While we take players from Florida, Tenn., Bama and Tech are taking ours. Lets not give up our top talent to other schools, especially SEC......Eric Berry is a prime example. Go Dawgs

Welcome Hot_Mike, hope you keep posting and enjoying the best forum in existance.

BTW, believe Berry had committed to UGA but we lost him because of academics (think I remember we wouldn't let him in school)....UT will take anybody's grades.

Had the opportunity to watch the replay of UGA and South Carolina today. Don't really know why I put myself through the mind boggling experience except for the fact I am ready for some football.

I remember now why I don't refer to WM as Coach. Film did not change from the live game that I watched. WM had absolutely no clue on stopping USC. Watching our linebackers trying their dead level best to cover receivers. Not the players fault, poor coaching on the defensive side of the ball.

Our defensive line played their hearts out, but anyone that has played the game knows that in the heat and constant battles, big linemen get tired. I caught myself looking at the UGA sideline, wondering why we continued to use the same players basically throughout the game. Lots of folks dressed out, made me wonder about our depth. Maybe I should say depth of coaching(?). UGA was not the only team in the SEC that had injuries. Poor coaching on the defensive side of the ball.

We were very fortunate to get a win up there, very fortunate.

WM is listed as the Defensive Coordinator and DB coach. He has as much or more talent on that side of the ball as does any school, for the most part. We keep hearing about how well we are recruiting year after year . . . . so what is the problem . . . . poor coaching on the defensive side of the ball.

If our defensive backs continue to tackle(?) with their shoulders as I witnessed in many of our games, folks we are in trouble. Maybe the coaches might teach these young fellows how to wrap up.

Really don't need to hear things like . . . . we had a lot of injuries, with recruiting classes that we have supposedly had, there should be more than one line of talent on both sides of the ball. A team can have all of the \"talent\" rated by the \"talking heads and print media\", it however does not work that way when you put the cleats in the turf.

Personally, WM has not come close in my opinion to wearing the label of \"Defensive Coordinator\". Lots of folks wearing Red and Black have their eyes on WM this year. No more quitting on the bunch from Tech like we did last year, much like we did some time back in our game against Tennessee. If you can't coach these \"prize athletes\" up, maybe you should be checking out the unemployed sites for a different type of work. Go Dawgs!
