Georgia remained hot on the recruiting trail with a commitment from defensive end Dexter Morant (Manning, S.C./Manning) on Thursday.

His decision came down to the Bulldogs and Alabama, but he had close to 20 offers.

The 6-foot-6, 235-pounder had an excellent performance at multiple summer prospect camps. He reportedly was one of the most impressive performers at one of the sessions in Tuscaloosa.

Morant gives Georgia four commitments at defensive end for the 2010 class, joining B.J. Butler (Kissimmee, Fla./Osceola), Brandon Burrows (Marietta, Ga./Walton) and Jalen Fields (Dalton, Ga./Dalton). All four are rated 77 or higher by Scouts Inc. and Burrows and Fields are both ESPNU150 Watch List prospects.

Morant also is the second Palmetto State prospect that Georgia has landed in the last week. Georgia Military College safety Jakar Hamilton, one of the top junior college prospects in the country, committed to the Bulldogs during the weekend and played high school football at Strom Thurmond High in Johnston, S.C.

Another clip that is worth watching. Living in Florida, get to watch the playoff games. St. Thomas and Lakeland are two powerhouses, fertile recruiting grounds for UF.

New Poster, Hot_Mike made mention of keeping our young men at home in this thread. Could not agree more, think for the most part that is happening. However, don't care where the recruits come from, if they choose the Red and Black, wear it/love it . . . . . has been going on for ages. Living in Florida, but dang sure support UGA, and believe our school is truly in the run for athletes from all over.

Cross my fingers for this young man also. Makes huge plays and will smack you. One thing to remember is this, UF plays with speed, take note folks. You can teach players to tackle and block, can not teach SPEED. Go Dawgs! :woohoo:

Strong recruiting . . . . . This has to be one of the better years for UGA on both sides of the ball. Coach 'em up.
