I like the Chuck Amato angle too, I just dont know if I am ready for the red shoes! HAHA He does run a very tight ship and is a great defensive mind! As for Mickey, I think this is his last season at FSU, he is really not happy!

wlayton, rumor or not, seems that there is a lot of \"chatter\" continuing to swirl around WM. I don't hate the man as some have said in their posts, (not referring to the posts on this board)just do not feel that he has a total concept of defensive football. Frankly, have not considered our DB's to be playing up to UGA standards, but do think that we have had a lot of talent that needed to be coached. I would welcome Coach Amato to Athens, he certainly would be a plus to the defensive side of the ball. Thanks for the heads up, will be interesting to see how this saga plays out.

Hey Buc, there would be a lot of pressure for CMR to hire RG for the DC position but I'm not convinced he's up to handling the DC position. If you remember Kevin Ramsey that was a recruiter and Donnan experimented with him as the DC.....he was a disaster. IMO, we need to get a seasoned, proven DC in there that can do the job. BTW, if CWM is even offered the UM job, I don't believe he would leave CMR and UGA.

The oppertunity for WM to coach with Shannon would be a huge plus and a boost to his DC rep.! Shannon has a great mind and I think anyone on the D side of the ball would want to coach under him, it may be what WM needs to get a more definite coaching style!

Not only would Amato be a great DC but he is a GREAT recruiter, the more I talk about this the more I like the idea! I'm not real sure it will happen, but hey we can all dream! :silly:
