So........where are we next year?

All that matters for nothing except hyperbole. Fact is, Matt Stafford will be taken high in the draft, and he'll probably come out a decent NFL QB. I don't think his departure matters as much as it may appear. The dawgs have talent in the QB ranks, so they'll compensate. CWM? Doesn't matter what any of us think. CMR thinks highly of him, and he's staying. Collectively, we all need to get over it. I just hope somebody sends him a copy of \"coaching defenses for dummies\" for christmas.

Well, good thing I'm not a scout. I'd give it a 50/50 shot that he can handle the mental aspect of being NFL QB.

Yeah that is a good thing since about 95% think stafford is the QB most suited to start sooner in the NFL, he has good reads, usually makes good decisions and makes throws in tight coverage.

Oh and you may want to check this out just to see how wrong you are: sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft

there's no doubt that Stafford has a gunslinger's arm. I just doubt that he has a surgeon's eye or an assassin's instincts.

In my short and honest opinion I agree Stafford has the talent, arm and can even go through progressions and reads well enough to be a good QB in the NFL. He even showed some flashes of leadership ability at times.

I think the D will improve with maturity and an upgrade in some talent at the corner position. If not then we can start sticking For Sale signs in Willie's yard.

IMO the slant routes, quick pass to AJ with MoMass blocking, screens/draws to Moreno, Chapas and all those 8-10 yard underneath routes and out routes were designed to take some of the pressure off a young/dessimated O Line. Rewatch some games and count your Mississippi's. I bet the ball is gone most of the time on or a little before you hit three.

Last year we were impressed at the change in the team with Bobo calling plays and CMR focusing on being the HC. I still think that was a good decision.

I like Dapolla's scenario for next year, except the ending, but I think it is realistic and based off of fact.

Ok, I'm going to stick up for Bobo and Stafford here.

I don't see how anyone can be calling for Bobo's head. We have one of the best offenses in the SEC. Granted we have a ton of talent. We put points on the board. I don't think it is up to the offense to keep the defense off the field. Anybody that says our offense is part of the reason why the defense has looked bad this season is crazy. The defense made themselves look bad. I will admit we have given up turnovers on our side of the field more than I would like to admit but, it is solely up to the D to step up and hold to a field goal as opposed to giving up the TD. Plain and simple.

As for Stafford. I will argue until the day I die that he is arguabley one of the best QBs UGA has ever had. I don't see how anyone can call out his decision making skills. Can't make reads and doesn't go through the progressions properly? How can anyone tell this unless they called the play? What basis does anyone have to make this assumption. 3000+ yrs passing, 22-8 TD/Int ratio, 61% completion rate with an O-line that is held together with duct tape and spit. Those numbers are excellent to me and probably most teams in the country would agree. What I do know is that most college QBs look to the sideline for play adjustments and audibles. Stafford DOESN'T. He calls it himself. The kid makes passes into coverage most QBs wouldn't even think about and makes them. I think he needs a little more touch on the long ball but man I will admit that is nit-picky.

I just think anyone calling out Bobo and Stafford for our loses this season is crazy or isn't paying attention. Just my opinion.

Go Dawgs!!!!

I just don't think Martinez had the player talent to do much better than he did. I think UGA has one of the least talented defensive squads in the SEC. If it is Martinez's job to recruit then I would say that he definitely needs to go. Otherwise I think you guys wanted him to make a silk purse of a sow's ear.
