Getdown11, I actually don't know if the '04 Auburn team would have beaten '04 USC, but I know it would have been a better game than what went on.

I do, however, know for a certainty that '03 LSU would have taken '03 USC apart. That was the meanest, most physical, most grind-it-out team I've ever seen. A much better team than last year's fake-champs. (Sorry, LSU fans...you deserved both the BCS and the AP titles in 2003, but I don't think you even deserved a shot last year...just my two cents).

I remember Jim Rome trashing that great '03 Tiger team, spouting off how USC was the better team. It turned my stomach.

Jim Rome is an IDIOT! I would like to kick him in his terrible fu man che with my steel toe boot. ESPN is proof you do not need brain power to get on television.

Not Jim Rome, he would never say something that was not true:unsure: In my opinion, he is anouther talking head. Did any of you hear the other day when he ws bashing CMR for complaining that ESPN didn't mention KM's leap. Jim Rome went on to say that by him (CMR) doing that it would turn voters away from voting for KM for heisman. Sometimes I wish Jim Rome really was burning.(sorry steve, just my two cents worth!)

If you listen closely to his delivery, style and demeanor along with the content, you will realize that Jim Rome has no idea what he is talking about. He just says things to get a rise out of his audience. No one has told him that TV audiences are different from the radio, that you don't get instant feedback nor do you get ratings for saying things to rile people up and for no other reason. Jim Rome is essentially a sports shock jock with little to no talent.

Speaking of little to no talent, have you HEARD the angry bulletin board material Rudy Carpenter of ASU's been spouting? He's hilarious!
