CMR's email?

I did read somewhere Richt was looking at 2 juco O linemen. I hate to say it but we need to find a QB who can run like hell because he may need to. I personally prefer a scrambling QB in college. I know they do not make good MFL QBs, but who cares. Give me Mike Vick in college over any other QB I have seen.

really we need to stop judging cmr he has given us an sec title 2 of the last 6 years and made it there three and we really need to look at our team (mostly offense)and stafford (with his 12 ints) i like the kid but think cox might be better and when your defence spends 3/4 of its gametime on the feild and still keeps us in contention for the game thats not that bad(yes i still think that they might be better under van gorder) but nonethe less we still have a good defence and our receivers suck 2. no cmr is not a big risk taker but is a very good coach and it is a bad year. we need an overall offence including a qb (the stats dont lie espn.com for more) and its like he gets scared to easy and starts throwing it away unlike dg or dj who stayed calm but got the job done. we just need to step back and take a look at everything and chaulk it up to what it really is a rebuilding year itll get better.and by noway am i a coach nor will i ever be but i do see numbers and they dont lie. take it or leave it its just what i think and that dont mean im right.but i dont think our defence is that bad if the other team just didnt have 4 or 5 more times a game to score than us and its still within 2-7 pts tos lose games thats fact minus tenn our defence didnt help much there but they have kept us there the rest of the games with stafford throwing away the ball and lumkin can only run through so many people HEs NOT WALKER so theres only so much he can do he cant carry us. yes give us van but van being here isnt gonna win the games for us and we dont have the big names weve had in the past like Champ, Boss, Pollack, Blue, Thurman, and Davis. we will survive but we need players (not coaches) to step up as leaders players make better leaders than coaches.see the aforementioned list

I agree to a point, but against Vandy the boys just were not ready to play. They seemed by their play and comments after the game to be looking past Vandy. That is a coaching problem. We do need leaders on the field, but those leaders are empowered by coaches. I am grateful for our recent success. If we were just getting flat out beaten I would have no complaints, but our losses seem to be avoidable with better focus and more intensity.

I have no idea what to do at QB. I would put the one WR that used to play QB in HS back there and run some option or something to keep the defense off the field. Our D has allowed several teams to drive down the length of the field at the end of games for game winning plays and that is toughness and execution. No one here would suggest Uk and Vandy have better athletes than we do. It just seems they wanted it more.

davilemo, thank you for being a realistic football fan. Everyone I meet tells me that we suck and that we will suck NEXT year too. Richt is gonna do some things this summer to fix our problems. Our only issue I see as being a problem, a major problem at that, is the beef up front. We don't have many O-lineman for next year. But we had the same problem in 2003 and won the East, so i'm not too worried about it. And he might not show it to the public, but Richt can get pissed, for lack of a better term. He can jump on some kids and give em hell. But he's not gonna do it to them during a game because he is smart. It won't help to embarass a kid in front of his family and friends on Saturday. It only puts the kid in a hole that he can't climb out of. Note that I used the word KID. That is exactly what they are. Football might be their major, but it ain't their life. They party and work and check out girls just like every other college kid. Be realistic and understanding. GO DAWGS!

I disagree with the kid thing. At 18 these are young men. The world will expect them to behave like men and what better way to show them than the action/consequences lesson. Yelling at someone rarely serves a purpose unless that is what an individual responds to. Some people do. I know we are all past college age, but all these players are legal adults and it is false to say they are kids. Many may make bad decisions, but the are not helpless little lambs.

That arguments sounds like the one for 18 year old females. Older people say they are still little girls because they are so far from that period in their life but in reality they are adults able to make decisions just like everyone else.
