GatorinGA, the most important stat is WINS. Let's look at who he got these stats -- impressive as they are -- against:
1) Western Kentucky. 'Nuff said.
2) Troy. Hey, we scored 44 on them, too.
3) Tennessee. I know, we slipped up against UT. But let's face it, their D is TERRIBLE this year. We all know it.
4) Ole Miss. Good LORD, enough said.
5) Kentucky. Good team this year, but no D whatsoever.
6) Vanderbilt. This was actually impressive, since Vandy's D is good this year.
7) SCarolina. I can't explain this, except that one of the Brinkley twins is out for the season. But does one player really turn your team into dog-poo that quickly? Man, they were good at the beginning of the year, and it was their D.
Tebow's got FAU and FSU left on its schedule, so I wouldn't be surprised if Urban Liar lets him get all sorts of stats on his way to a career-ending injury in the bowl game.
Look at the games Tebow HAD to win: Auburn, LSU and Georgia. A young man by the name of Chris Leak was able to win those games, and consistently. I believe a freshman Leak was the only quarterback to beat LSU in 2003, and I know he cleaned our clock three out of four years. Leak beat LSU last year too.
Tebow is a fullback who can throw the ball. That is all he is, and it works against a) the weaker parts of the schedule and b) with Urban's offense. Put him in the NFL and watch him get murdered. He IS overrated, and these inflated stats are evidence of same.
