Woooooooohoooooo....eh?

As Dapolla said the most important stat is wins. Last year he split time with Leak, no big deal. This was \"His Year\" and compared to others just in the S.E.C. he failed to stack up. I think I hate UT the most of any team anywhere, but they had a kid behind P.Manning and what did he do with his opportunity......

*Most Consecutive Completions-24-(\"NAME\"), 1988 (1 vs. Alabama, 23 vs. South Carolina)

*Highest Completion Percentage-Game-95.8%-(\"NAME\"), 1988 (23-24 vs. South Carolina

*Lowest Career Interception Rate-2.39%-(\"NAME\"), (1,381 attempts)

*Lowest Season Interception Rate-Team, 1995-1.05% (380 attempts)

Oh yeah, a S.E.C. championship and an NC. Remember Tee Martin!

Tebow is a fullback who can throw the ball

Dapolla,
So Tebow is for lack of a better word a \"BUST\" based on the hype!
I personally do not care how much he runs or what his passer rating is, If you do not win and you have \"SUPERMAN\" as your QB it does not matter, that is the nature of the best conference in college football!

You guys have tunnel vision!! Yeah, everyone is overrated but the Dawgs, right?
The Dawgs have virtually the same schedule as the Gators, so if ours is weak, the Dawgs is even weaker. The Gators played LSU on Saturday night (where LSU is 23 -0) remember.
Yes, you are correct that wins and losses are the most important stat, but one man can’t do it by himself. Put a 1980 Herschel Walker on this year’s Notre Dame team and their wins might go from 1 to 3. So I guess Herschel is over rated because “wins” are all that count right? Wrong! Guys, you really have taken for granted that the Gators have a VAST injury list, their defense is atrocious, and every TB and RB drafted the last two years is too hurt to play. Tebow has had to carry the load but not by design as you all assume. He has the respect of the whole country (minus the SEC opposition homers) because of his effort and durability. And any “fullback” that can lead the county in passing efficiency is amazing.

Oh and by the way, as for rushing goes, here’s a stat for you:
Georgia’s total rushing offense = 1,754 yds – 4.7 yd. avg. – 23 TDs
Florida’s total rushing offense = 2,014 yds – 5.3 yd. avg. – 30 TDs
Hmm, UGA’s rush offense is solid and UF’s is hurting, right?
Oh, I forgot, when we played the same opponents as the Dawgs, they layed down for us.

Of course, your retort will probably be, “uhh, the Dawgs beat the Gators”.
True and I will admit that the Dawgs are better than the Gators this year. The Gators are hanging on with inexperience and injuries this year. I am proud of them.
I realize that I am in your house on this forum so I very rarely discuss “Gator” football. As an outsider here, I have to expect to read negative posts about my beloved team. That’s OK. I think the jokes and the photos are hilarious. I’ll refrain from doing it back because I understand that I am a visitor here and truly appreciate the warm welcome from the best football forum on the net. But I am always amazed when fans of a rival team are so blinded by their distain for another team.
I love Knowshon Moreno and said so on this forum way before most people here were singing his praises (go back and look at old threads if you don’t believe me). I also love Sean Bailey and felt so bad for him when he was injured last year. I wanted him to rebound this year because he’s a good kid so I was happy for him that he had a good game against Auburn. People on this forum were up in arms and calling for Willie’s head after the Vols blowout. I was on this forum with positive comments about the Dawgs (or at least stating that they were no worse than my Gators) and that they would be in the N.C. hunt next year.
Sorry, but I just can’t understand a mentality that, would make me dislike a kid like Bailey and state that Knowshon is not very good because of a weak schedule just because they play for a rival team.
Sorry for the rant.

You know, I'm not going to take a big stand on either side of Tebow. Great kid with the media causing most people not to like him, that part is not his fault. One thing about his passing rating that is being overlooked (IMO).......Harvin...Tebow throws a lot of 3 yard passes to him (a long handoff) and he takes it to the house. To me, Harvin is the MVP of UF. He creates so many problems when he doesn't even have the ball. Also, the rushing attack....again, Harvin.....to me, he's actually superman.

Highest passer rating. How do they figure that out? What is his completion attempt numbers. The actual ones for the year. If you don't throw the ball a bunch.......you get the picture. I honestly don't know his numbers. Let's be honest though. He runs about as much as he throws. That being said, he's not going to last. The last great running QB IMO was the dog killer himself. Look how often he got hurt. It will happen. Look at Tebow this year. He's banged up. Urban Cryer is going to end this kids career.

I don't like Tebow, not because of his team. Just the air about him. That's just me. It seems like he's playing for himself. Urban as well. How is Tebow and Urban playing for themselves? Urban want's to look good in front of the Nation. Hey look at me, I won a N.C. and coached a Heisman winner. Tebow's doing it for him, believing the hype that the Cryer is telling him. Can't prove it. Don't care to try. That's just the air around them that I see when I watch one of their games.

flyindawg, I will have to admit that I've had those same thoughts especially about Myer. He can't win the NC this year so he's trying to win the Heisman for Tebow so HE can get more recognition in a mediocre year (recruiting tool as well).

I just call it like I see it. Doesn't make me right, but it doesn't make me wrong either.
