I don't know how they spanked us. Go Dawgs!
That statement made me stop and think (as previously mentioned, being borderline retarded, this does not happen too often). In comparing that game to THE GAME, what comes to mind? Just looking back on the two contests in my mind's eye, it seems like they were
complete opposites of each other. Not simply in the final outcomes, but in the level of intensity with which the games were approached and played.
On defense, we attacked the Gator Nation; not just the offense...we attacked the field itself...on offense, we did not let up. We scored; they scored; we scored; they scored, etc. Finally, they collapsed. We never gave up or gave in. Against UT, we tried; we played hard, but we played listless, bend-but, passive, \"well I'm gonna tackle somebody if they come near my zone\" kind of defense. As so many of us have said on this forum and on others, that will not cut it in the SEC!
It's almost hard to believe that the same team could play so differently against similar opponents in the same season unless it had suffered a rash of injuries or half the team had contracted the Nile Virus!
Have you noticed how good you feel today?
