BTW, he never actually got to broadcast for the Braves. He was hired by WSB, but upon arriving saw an ad saying that they were looking to replace Ed Thilenius (good catch, Miss_uga, I had no idea he had come down with throat cancer!) and interviewed for that. So he actually came to Atlanta but never called a Braves game!
