So....what's the word on Bobo...? Is he coming home...?

Is he wanted...? Would it be a good fit...?

And, what would be the repercussions on the staff...?

Chicken cackle says he's going to be the Gamecocks' OC.

I hope we're prepared and focused for the Sugar Bowl. It sounds like Kirby has realized that not everyone who was at the game really needed to be there....they were more of a hinderance than a help.

It seems like we are at a crossroads of sort.....Changes need to be made for improvement, but they need to be the right changes, and for a purposeful end result. Maybe some of our evaluations haven't been quite as insightful as they needed to be.

Still a lot of good in the program, and more good to come, but the competition is getting keener every year.

If you're not getting better every year, then you're getting worse.

I doubt Bobo comes here as I doubt we make any significant changes. Kirby is convinced our philosophy is fine.

In other news... Major UGA TE recruit Theo Johnson has opted for Penn State.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Excerpt from Sam Pittman's Introductory Presser

“Well, you know if you look at the RPO game with the abilities for your quarterback to run and or throw,” Pittman said. “You know nowadays if you get big, big if you are going 12-plus, if you are going 12-22, 21-plus in this league you better have the real deal because they’re gonna have guys at 320, 330 pounds on the other side. I’m not telling you that the philosophy has gone to spread because that’s a lie, but I think you do have to have the edge covered.

“But I don’t think you can just turn around down and down and hand the ball off to the tailback and say let’s go sic’em.You might be able to do it in the third and fourth quarter, but so what we want is to be versatile. I love the RPO game, I like the quarterback read game. I like the 11 which is one tight end and three wide outs. I like to throw the flash screens and different things that is into the RPO system.”

Well how bout' them apples? Talk about stating the painfully obvious. Sam gets it.

I love that guy. Truly going to miss his presence but clearly he had enough.
