dawgs_fans_dad wrote: May be a while before we get the whole story, but my guess is that he 1) was confident that he could win the starting job and 2) felt like he was on the three year plan, three years starting at UGA and then on to Sunday play. When he didn't win the job and started looking at a minimum of 1 more year as a back up, he realized his timetable was not going to be realized in Athens, so is looking for an alternate route still wanting to get to the NFL as quickly as possible.

Whatever the case, best of luck to him. I'm sure some HS Senior QBs are taking another look at Georgia.

Good read . . . .

My early thoughts on Mathis.

1) Looks very raw in his video.
2) He was the #261 ranked player and Plumlee #267 or whatever.
3) My preference is let Mathis redshirt because he is going to be raw. Just let him play the four games to get a taste and redshirt.

However, my feelings are that he will not be the starter when Fromm leaves. The way Kirby is recruiting, in 2020 or 2021 we will sign a 5 star "top 3" type QB who will take over. So, after thinking, I say LET THE KID PLAY this year. All mop up duty. Let him sling it around the field. You may have a diamond in the rough and it would be nice to know. If he isn't, then you see it, and can sign the next 5 star in 2020.

My point being: Jim Chaney, use this kid unlike the way you used Fields----let him use his instincts.

By a show of hands.... how many of you think CKS was

Surprised by Justin seeking a transfer..... make my bet..

Moon pie and RC cola..... he knew after the vibes Justin gave off

after the SC games....not that Justin was wrong about being

frustrated...

CKS....always has a plan B.... add to the wager he has a process

for players leaving to turn pro or assistants find new opportunities

Fromm gets new pups to teach and make better....he knows team

Is at risk not having a backup QB ready to play...

Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

I bet CKS picked up Fields vibes early on.

College ball requires CKS to be constantly on the look out for talent. On the field and in the office.

My Moon pie is on CKS.
