Like Hill at center. At some point he will be the starter and remain there until he decides to turn pro. Also think Warren Erickson will train under Sam Pittman at the center spot. Solid center is crucial in the SEC. Also believe that the coaching staff got Wilson's attention with the Red Shirt. This group has the possibility of being the "best ever" in Athens. IMHO.

Really interested in the punting during the G Day Game. Will give us some serious insight into the 2018 football season.

Quote below from Kirby. Fully believe what he has to say about the defensive backfield, not just "coach speak". Do not find Smart to be a coach that "cries wolf". Not to say too much about the National Championship Game, but . . . . breakdown in the defensive backfield was costly. Young men playing then had a lot of time in practice and game experience in Athens. Kirby I think prefers the 3 man front, means the 8 pups behind the 3 have to work as 1. Going to be some serious film room and turf work prior to the season start.

Not much doubt that we are very close to a two quarterback system. Much more to be accomplished, quarterback is 1 of 11 players on the field.

Coach Kirby Smart said . . . .“We’ve got a long way to go in the secondary. We had a unique unit of DBs that played a long time. With them gone, we’re trying to get some guys in here to fill that void. We’re not where we need to be, we don’t have the depth we need and we’re not playing at the level we need to play at. They’re going against some good quarterback(s) and receivers at practice every day.”[/b]

Exactly...HC....speaks truth.....can speak with passion and emotion....but it never clouds his message...

Agree.... HC... likes 3-4..... beasts up front to clog and blow up blocking while the back 8 Wolfpack

Attack the ball.....

Rest assured....coaching staff is focused.....even better... players are also....

Can remember conversations here about Towel...... fixing the slack in the chain.

I was a big supporter of Grantham when he first arrived. Many years since his departure find myself wondering just how much the previous lack of leadership led to him leaving. Do believe that he believes he is much more competent and able than most, that sometimes gets in the way of clear thinking. Grantham calling the defense for the gators in 2018. Lots of talent in the State of Florida, will be interesting. Dan Mullen is dead set on reviving the play calling and RPO that was successful when he (not) urban meyer was the head coach. To be continued.
