Good Morning All,

Can’t believe how the tea leaves have cast our season…

From losing starting QB eight minutes into the first game….

Week two…. South Bend for Jake’s first start… won by a point..

Think this were we came up with win by one or twenty one..just win

Flea flicker for TD against MSU….

Crushed the pumpkin people….same with Gator’s helped both HC’s make a career change….

Then we stunk it up against Assburn…..

Played two solid games …. UK and Nerds…before the rematch with
Assburn in the SECCG…… complete 180 from first game…

SEC Champions and landing a spot in the CFP’s…. say what….

Heads had us winning the East but losing to the Tide in the SECG..

Funny how the night moves….. same Assburn beats the Tide at home and plays us for the championship….

The loss to Assburn absolutely met nothing….. other than providing a
Valuable teaching tool to our coaches….

So by Assburn beating both the Tide and us it opened the door for the SEC to place two teams in the CFP’s…….

Only fitting that their reward was getting whipped by UCF…. Thank you..

Once again the Gus Bus …..blew blue smoke and fizzed out…

Problems remain on the plains….. only now come with a bigger paycheck…..

As every on this board has done…watched many football games but
This Rose Bowl ranks at the top of the list…..

Those who I watched the game with….. made the point we have been a second half team all year…. We can do this…. Yes we can…

It is fitting that the tying and winning TD’s were ran out of the Wilddawg…. Chubb’s to tie and Sony’s for the win…

Can remember when much was said about that play early in the season when it wasn’t successful…..

OC’s statement as to why our offense is so much better this year over lasts…..We just block better this year….. hello OL and CSP…

Starts with the uglies on both the “O” and “D”…….

We can’t spot the Tide 14 pts….. defense needs both halves to be solid…

No room for mindless penalties …….

Keep Chopping…… yes we have the talent and the coaching to win..

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always “Go Dawgs”

Talent on both sides of the ball on both teams for the National Championship. This is where "depth" and "weight room" win ball games. Grinding hours leading up to 2017 Season are now in focus for both teams. There are other parts, such as the "kicking game" but the blood, sweat and tears prior to Fall practice are now front and center. Good read yankeedawg1, moving closer to the whistle.

There was a since deleted video clip out there on snapchat of the Alabama S&C coach throwing last years runners up trophy to the ground and then smashing it with a sledgehammer after the Clemson game this past weekend. It occurred in the locker-room after they defeated Clemson this year and was recorded on one of the players phones.

Alabama is coming to play no-doubt. They normally do anyway, but they have extra incentive after last years defeat and the prospect of losing to another SEC school in this game will have them foaming at the mouth, Saban knows what is at stake here
as well in the battle of recruiting. Right now UGA and 'Bama are in a fierce battle for many top recruits... it is no longer as it was in the past where Saban got 90% of everything he wanted and everyone else picked through the rest. A loss here by the 'Tide means
everything in this battle beyond the field of play. It would almost be like proving that the emperor has no clothes.

This game will have an intensity that Oklahoma couldn't bring, so I hope Kirby is able to have our young men ready for it.

There's a storm comin' on Monday night.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Good read Wartdawg.

Plucked the article below from the AJC. Would bet the farm that there is not a single site/blog that has paid as much attention to Coach Dell McGee as this board has. Not too surprising, there are members posting here that not only appreciate the game and Dell McGee, they "understand" the game, and Dell McGee's importance to the FANS. Yes, FANS.

Mentioned in the article is Tae Crowder, long a favorite of mine, first brought to this boards attention by DWS. Fumble recovery in the Rose Bowl game and position switch by Tae speaks to this group of coaches and players willingness to play team ball. This is a special group of players, not often do we see young men that truly bond as these guys have.

Thomas Davis never forgot the University of Georgia. Since leaving he has kept close ties with the players, coaches and Mahogany Row. Thomas Davis let it be known that Georgia needed some restructuring in the area of coaching and building the IPF, that is a fact. Thomas Davis speaks, folks listen.
