Not so much about beating him out, but Fromm is able to escape the rush that is bound to come into play. If that happens "Oh S_____"

Remembering what Eason said last season or soon thereafter . . . . Jacob said he can run, not claiming to be a Cam Newton type, but can move. Under the last group of offensive coaches that was not permitted. Came close to AM being seriously injured on more than one occasion.

Appears that the current offensive coach or coaches are trying really hard to continue the same system. Meaning they are recruiting young men that can and will form a "pocket". Really hard to do when there is a short amount of time these young pups have in college. A bit different in the professional game, linemen can have much longer terms as a group.

Coach Smart is not ducking punches . . . . he is going to sign one or more "mobile" quarterbacks in the near future. Kirby got a first hand lesson playing against Clemson twice in the National Championship Games. Saban wasted no time whatsoever, has a solid young man calling signals, play does not develop, legs take over.

Still unsure about our offensive coordinator. With the group he has on the offensive side, better make serious improvements over last season's efforts or lack of same. Many unanswered questions after the 2016 Season.

Good Morning All,

Just sharing my thoughts as always..... many good points made as to why things have slowed posting...

Bored.....and bored to the tenth power..... yawn..... even the heads are reaching...grasping at air

Something to scoop or write about...

As stated....if Fromm takes over for JE. It doesn't bode welll for us..... JE is and will be the starter..

Jake needs to run the scout team and learn.... fact he is only an injury away for being the starter..

Many of us Georgia fans suffer from the Lucy --Charlie Brown.... kicking field goals....we know she is going to Pull the damn ball away and laugh when we fall on our butt kicking air....still we do it again...

And it's a long way to NSD.....yes I want to keep home boys here in Athens... if not possible

Reach out and get the best player regardless of were he calls home... best he calls Athens home

for the next three to four years....

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always. Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

Recruiting for the 2018 Class has yet to get the final stamp of approval, or otherwise.

Beginning to think that I am again seeing some of the Alabama efforts make its way into Georgia. Many universities open up quickly in the recruiting area when the media likes to hand out "stars". Public relations work that way.

Many years under Nick Saban, Alabama would not be the highest "media rated" recruiting force until . . . . the closing period when those that had committed "silently" changed Alabama from number 10 or 15 to number 1.

Single largest thought in my mind at this point, Red and Black are going to move up at a fast pace and probably end up with a "media" based top ten or fifteen rating at the end of the LOI's.

2017 group of players have had a huge effect on who will and won't play/sign for UGA. Said on this board before, young pups looking for playing time, not two years down the road but immediately. BMOC in high school does not take into consideration that they are basically "battling" to be one of the 25 or so that a university will select. New recruiting laws handed down by the NCAA will definitely change the direction of many young men when it comes to selection.

Regardless of how many "stars" sign on, still comes down to the coaching staff. I like "most" of the coaches I see on this coaching staff, there are some exceptions. Second year under Coach Smart, believe he has to have a clear vision of what is necessary for our team to "take the next needed step". Also say this again, many questions will be answered in 2017.

Know many folks in the business world that were not overly successful in their first year. Also know some of the same folks that became "very successful" in a short period after the first or second year.

Read where several bloggers predict 8 wins for UGA.

Vegas seems to think that outside of two teams that is the high point for SEC teams.

Interesting.
