Buc this is as high as I have been on the UGA program for a very long time, actually since right after the NC we won. How many years ago? 36 maybe? Too long not to even be in the hunt!

Had the chance to be happy when Goff was sent packing, but, here comes Donnan, so no joy in my house.

Now the time is right and I am ecstatic, and not drinking Kool Aid, but here the Dawgs barking and on the hunt.

Often I go back and look at threads dated sometimes back many years.

Growl mentioned above what LimeyDawg mentioned a couple of weeks after this thread started.

Speaking for myself of course . . . . I appreciate that members that are not posting often but at some point come back and post.

This is what separates many of the sites that offer UGA Football talk. After a day or a couple of days, the topic is "finished". Dawgs.com remains open and when a member can find time to post, they do.

Damn good site, and folks that choose to be a part are special.

Chief, so many mistakes made, some of the miscues have been separated by nothing more than a lack of attention being paid to the "Fan Base". Took many years after the early 80's for the fans . . . . and former players at UGA to get Mahogany Row's attention.

Do I and others believe that Mahogany Row is still listening? Based on Greg McGarity's last piece of work, do not believe so.

Greg McGarity did not have anything to do with training Smart and Company. He should take note that his time under Foley in Florida did not elevate him to where Kirby Smart is after 9 years under Nick Saban.

Big mistake hiring Greg McGarity. Paid the $65,000 back that fans paid for entertainment Greg?

Please leave sir and allow "our" program to "continue" to "progress".

Folks, have to say this . . . .

Butch Jones "playing the game" in the "offseason" with Kirby Smart.

Made his first mistake when trying to pull Smart and Company into his web.

Jones does understand just how good UGA's team is, but most of what he was doing with his recent comments was playing to his group of fans and players in Knoxville. "Butch" needs to understand that Kirby is prepared for his "stuff".

Do I think that Butch Jones has UGA along with Smart and Company in his head, YEP.

Know that there are "Checker Boards" reading Dawgs.com.

Here is the long and short of the Kirby Smart hiring . . . .

Nick Saban said to Kirby Smart after the offer from Mark Richt . . . . stick around, good things will happen. Kirby Smart stuck around and . . . . good things happened, both for Kirby Smart and the Fan Base that was long overdue for "change" in Athens.

Do not know if Bill King and I will ever agree on UGA Football again . . . . can say this . . . . Bill King made a point that separates the "haves from those that have not". By that I mean this . . . . Some Fans spend their money on a seat in the "far reaches" from the turf, supporting "our" Football Team. Fans that have been around UGA Football longer than Greg McGarity has. Fans that don't make over one half million dollars a year . . . . and for what?

FIRE GREG McGARITY. Will happen at some point, sooner is better than later. Took fifteen years (15) to understand the "existing problem" on campus. One half of the issue has been solved.

Greg, repaired the urinals yet? Simple question. Question that you and others above you refuse to answer.

Bet this . . . . Foley does not want you back in Gainesville, Florida.

EXCITEMENT LEVEL BY UGA COACHING HIRES:

GOFF = Meh (Where did VD go?)

DONNAN = Pretty AMPED actually, so glad to see Goff go (was young & dumb)

RICHT = Nervous Excitement (FSU was a beast but who is this guy?)

KIRBY = HAPPY BEYOND BELIEF (KS will be our best HC ever, I feel it in my soul)
