Definitely a positive for UGA, Netori Johnson. Straight forward with his comments about UGA recruiting. Copied the "chatter" from Jeff Sentell.

Johnson said former UGA offensive line coach Rob Sale impressed him, but he would not have committed to the old staff. He would’ve wound up at Auburn or Alabama.

“A lot of stuff changed,” Johnson said. “Those coaches for Mark Richt were old school, but still good. But this new staff has made the atmosphere just a whole lot more fun. I love it. The people at G-Day were screaming out, ‘Netori’ and, ‘Come be a Dawg’ and man I tell you that was just beautiful, too.”

Know at one time the author of the article below was a member on Dawgs.com. Greg Poole is a good guy, really into UGA and college football.

Seems to me that more and more folks are recognizing what was missing with the previous head coach.

Was glad to read in the article that Jeremy Pruitt was mentioned. Seems his name came up a lot when he was in Athens, and continues now in Tuscaloosa. Many know that McGarity had a strong dislike for Pruitt . . . . Pruitt did not care about the "stuff" that had become a part of Georgia Football. Pruitt wanted results. Pruitt will work for Nick Saban, and just like Kirby Smart, his time will come and it will probably be at a SEC University.

Not by accident that those that have served under Saban understand football at it's base. Some never reach that point.

Great head coach hire.

Have to say this . . . . Kirby Smart accomplished a hire that many other universities failed to accomplish, and several tried.

Dawgs.com members have discussed the need for offensive line improvement for many "years". There was some, in my opinion the best offensive line coach at UGA in recent years is now in Colorado, Coach Will Friend. Great move on Mike Bobo's part, asking Will Friend to join him.

If you haven't read the article below, good read.

This article is also a good read.

Sometimes when things are a bit slow, I work my way back to this series of videos on Vimeo.

Welcome home Kirby Smart.

Thank you Pruitt/Rocker and Company.

First time in a long time that "I Believe".

Getting started down the right path . . . . this time. There has always been it seems a "fork" in the road concerning UGA Football. Think now I can say we have chosen the right path.

"Here we come" . . . . yes I believe that.

Greg McGarity, please stay out of the way.

Did you do something special in the hiring and firing of head coaches?

You did nothing more than "any" Athletic Director would have done had Kirby Smart moved on from Tuscaloosa. Many knew you were at a point that Kirby Smart had to be hired. Many also knew that South Carolina forced your hand. Stop the "stuff" about the ride back to Athens from Atlanta after the GT game, those in the know knew that Kirby Smart was your "life line".

This old fart is delighted that you are now in a place that you should be . . . . away from the way the football program "will be ran".

New sheriff in town Greg. Kirby Smart does not "follow" . . . . Kirby Smart "leads".

Find the funds to repair the heads Greg?

Most of us know that soon you will again put your chest out and remind us that "you" are the reason that the Indoor Practice Facility is underway.

It is not that I don't like you personally, as if that would make a difference. I know that you are on the same path that Richt was on. "Steady as She Goes". That is over.

There are conversations that your name arises in outside of the Butts-Mehre Building. We watch, we understand.

Go Dawgs :)

Brian Herrien, another young man that had his sites set on Alabama. Kirby Smart recruited Brian while in Tuscaloosa.

Appears that Herrien will wear the Red and Black.

Also appears that Smart and Company have managed in a short time to fill some of the holes that existed earlier in the year.

Can only imagine Herrien running behind a offensive line that has a year or two training under Coach Sam Pittman. Looking good.

See a lot of similarities looking at Todd Gurley's Senior High School video and Brian Herrien's Senior High School video.
