I don't have any malice or ill-will for players that de-committed because of Pruitt going to Bama. There are two types of recruits: ones that come to a school because of the program and ones that come to the school because of forged relationships with the coaches. Both are valid reasons and I can understand if a player grew very close to a father figure type that they would want to follow him elsewhere. JE proved in his commitment that he was of the former, not the latter type of recruit. Others have their reasons. I still say that before the smoke clears and the dust settles, we're going to see some flips from Bama to UGA.
I find it a tad bit interesting that very few recruits have followed the previous coach to his new location.

Yep me too. I was talking with a Gator friend of mine back home this morning and he was commenting on just how good he thinks UGA will be under Smart and how much respect Coach Mac has for Kirby. He said he listened to a presser with Coach Mac last week where he said he was thrilled for Kirby, knows he will make UGA into a national contender, but just wishes he'd have gone to the other side of the country. That says a lot.
The East is no longer going to be a pushover. As much as I'd like to see Muschamp fall flat on his face at SC, he won't. He's a muscular recruiter and knows how to get the job done in the living rooms across the South. I do think his antics will be toned down at SC if he wants to retain his job there, but I think his intensity will come out in the players and give fits to the teams he plays against. Let's not forget the defense he built at FL and the recruits he got that McElwain inherited that took him to Atlanta.
Yes, you are 100% right on where you said other conferences want to see the SEC in the crapper. There's so much SEC hatred outside the SEC that it's palpable. Being stuck in Big10 country right now, anytime I'm wearing my G gear, it sparks a conversation which almost always devolves into the-sec-ain't-all-that. Makes me long for home where I don't have to endure that crap, but it's fun nonetheless to hear the jealousy and hatred for the SEC in these people.
