DWS, today I had time with a supporter of FSU that is deeply involved in College Football. His first name is Chad. He and his family are long time, big time believers in FSU football.. Deep roots there.

This is where they have made their "millions" in Florida. They have worked their butts off for generations growing SOD and putting smiles on the faces of home owners.

Chad said to me . . . . Single coach that "we lost" . . . . "Jeremy Pruitt" we know FSU will miss his leadership. Players "flocked" around Pruitt, saying that they knew Pruitt leaving was a huge mistake. Pruitt was replaced by Charles Kelly.

I post this link because I don't want anyone on this board thinking that I am puttiing BS on this board. I am deeply involved with Georgia Football in the State of Florida. I said that.

It really is a small world about 25 years ago in Union Spring' alabama a friend of mine father passed he had two son's.

After the funeral everything was divided they both got around a 1000 acres a piece the brother's didn't get along.

So one brother started a sod farm.
The other brother continued to be a farmer

After about 10 years past the sod farmer was steadily growing his business just staying afloat.

The farmer brother had brand new 4 wheel drive tractors. new house trucks and car's he was rolling in it.

The. sod brother couldn't understand how growing corn and a few peanuts were making his brother so rich.

After 5 more years the sod farmer brother was still making it the other brother had almost double the size of his farm.

Then came game wardens and police helicopters
The farmer brother was taking a 100 acre field planting corn around the outside marijuana in the center.

Now to present time the sod brother drivers his wife around the sod farm own one of those really expensive Cadillac he buys a new one each year pays cash everything he owns is paid for even when he buys new equipment he pays cash.

The other brother still looking out the same window.

Alright its time for every Georgia player to put the work in if not they will always be average theirs no short cuts.

How Bout them Dawgs!!!!!!!

Buc wrote: grantham is much like Jerry Jones, or Lyndon Baines Johnson, 36th President of the United States . . . . Extremely "thin skinned".

Granthams skin was so thin that it was practically translucent. He made LBJ look like his hide was as tough as alligator and any student of history knows that just isn't true.

Speaking of our backs.... best in the country.
Gurley, Marshall, Chubb, Sony....

recruiting.blog.ajc.com/2014/05/13/some-...chubb/?__federated=1

I mean good gravy in the morning do you want to see THAT coming at you as soon as you started to smile because Gurley went off the field for a breather?

My only question is the same one I seem to always have... Will our offensive line be anywhere near where he need to be, and does our staff have a true willingness to pound the rock like the rock should be pounded?

Gurley should be a Heisman winner... definitely there for the ceremony, but will our O-line and philosophy do him justice?

Does our staff truly understand what this group of RB's could do if we had the line to match? If I was coaching this team, Mason would probably never have to throw more than 20 times a game.

People should walk off the field with UGA feeling like they just got run over by a semi truck.... and that's just assuming our O-line is nothing more than "solid". If they were dominant, make that a road paver.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Good read Wartdawg.

Can't remember when I have heard the term "good gravy" . . . . :) Takes me back a few years, years that I am rightfully proud of. Not a term that one hears often. Might have to "borrow" that from you.

Loads of agreement from me on the entire post. Glad to see you back.

Side note. Notice you are located in Grayson. My best friend and my sons Godfather lives in Grayson. C. David Davis, a wonderful friend for many years.

Thanks Buc... good to be back and catching up.

Good gravy... I'm old school. Hang around me long and you'll here that, and "Jiminy Crickets!" quite a bit.

You'll also hear this one you may or may not remember....

"We've got more RB's... than Carter has little pills"

Remember that well. Believe we phrased the term "Carter has liver pills". We have to realize that those of the old South amused many North of the Mason/Dixon Line.

Took a while, but when the Georgia Football Team made its way to play Michigan back in the day, were mocked pre-game, some of the names called our young men, Blackeyed Pea Boys and more.

The North's first lesson learned about Southern Football. Might be that some of the training tables up that way should condsider Blackeye Peas. Check out the SEC and Southern Football now. Old wounds hard to heal.
