Very good motivator and I don't think we will see any "WTF" type plays out of our cover guys this year. Bone headed things are hopefully a thing of the past with this D.

Talent is there for the coaching on both sides of the ball, never been said that it has not. Question is the coaching there? That question will be answered the 2nd game of the season when we visit the old ball sack and the chickens

One thing for sure, other SEC teams have some very good receivers. Not going to win every battle, there will be some mistakes, but in agreement with you 100% on the arm/hand waving BS.

South Carolina again has a very good offensive line. Most discussions about SS usually center around him tossing the ball all over the field. Far from the truth.

SS does know this, whether you run or throw, both "require" offensive line play. At some point we have to "understand" what a solid offensive line means to and for the "skill players". Skill in my mind is those with their hands in the dirt.

Totally agree with everything above but 2 things concern me.

1. OL...won't be redundant on that issue
2. defensive secondary. We will be young AGAIN. Hate the situation since they had to get rid of three very good (potentially) defensive backs that had some experience. We were young last year and will again be young this year. Pruitt will be put to the test right out of the gate. Imo, FSU's young DB's were better athletes than what we have on campus....they may all be drafted over the next two years.

Couple points...... OL will surprise as being better than we are thinking DB will have a very good front 7

helping that is coached well and..... we have good passing teams in the SEC East but not great, yes we will get burned

and be part of the learning curve As CJP has stated getting beat on ability is understandable getting beat

on carelessness is not acceptable....and will get you off the field No arm waving here

Go Dawgs!

Yes, that front seven will be very good and they better be to give our secondary a chance to learn while on the job. Pruitt is a very good coach but he won't be on the field.

Seems it is always something, huh? Has been lack of depth with OL, young secondary, conditioning, bad injuries, special teams, penalties at wrong time (Vandy, LSU after TD) etc etc. Our puzzle seems to never be completely filled in.....maybe one day soon.

With the CJP scheme it frees up Floyd to rush the passer and less coverage duties for him. Big big plus on the D side of the ball. This IMHO will help Drew get more into the backfield. Seems this D will come together but at what point and then will it be too late?
